Wasn't Villa the interest in Nathan ? I thought it was Chelsea....? I just seem to recall it being Villa because he supported them as a kid, but it's a few pints ago now  |

That name's a blast from the past!! Played against him as a junior. If I recall correctly he played for Netherton. He was a good 'big un' back then in the Gelpack League. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_MidwoodHe had a stellar time in 1998 playing for Doncaster Rovers, where he played on average nearly 3 games a day !  Yes, I saw him at Netherton and he stood out , but he was physically bigger than the others . I remember telling people when Town took him on that he was going to be a good un. He didn't make the grade here and I think Gerry got rid, rumour was bad attitude. Attitude can't have been that bad, we re-signed him later on. A couple of years older than me, he looked head and shoulders above all the other kids in Netherton. |

He was stand out at junior level, I heard Gerry got rid of him . That's why I hope the question was asked . We are going back over 30 years here.

Is it actually true he brought Damien Diff over from Ireland for him to then go to Blackburn?

Brilliant article again. What a brilliant bloke who's made an immeasurable contribution to the club. Adding in that bit about Worthington rebuilding his work now, how fantastic. His legacy will be felt for a very long time by a lot of people |
