As others have said, the poll is of rather poor quality and more than a bit leading.
I'm rather sceptical of the original poster's motives and the potential usage for the results of the poll.
A reminder that DATM is not a representative sample of Town support, and the results of the poll shouldn't really be used to dictate pricing for next year.
All that said, personally, I'd be happy to pay a bit more than £249. Unsure if I'm typical or not.
I'd say it's unclear the impact that a price rise will have on the numbers buying. Pre cheap tickets, Wagner and the Premier League we had about 12k of core fans, with floaters increasing that number for big games - 16k would be a good number, 20k for a leeds match maybe. I reckon we've got far more fans now, the big question is, does that mean we've got more than 12k we can bank on or just more floating fans?
I'd suggest more the latter, although I have a feeling that now success on the pitch is a bigger barometer than price. With that in mind, it's pivotal that AB makes a good start and brings the feel good factor back with optimism for next season.

I think what many fail to take into account is inflation. The overheads and running costs must be far higher than what they were when the 249 tickets were announced. The club can't keep subsidising this AND be expected to sign better quality players. Also, 249 is not the norm. It’s the exception. If we want to get rid of this tiny town syndrome we need to start thinking bigger. These players will cost money and we need to raise revenue to do that. I understand many can't afford, however if you are demanding prices stay the same or a miniscule increase due to your principles then your principles need to be addressed as we are going to end up being left behind as a result. I am by no means wealthy, I live payday to payday but I recognise that a season ticket in one of the best leagues in the world should be worth more than £250. If we increase prices and we deliver a better quality product, challenging at the top end of the table then nobody will be complaining. You quoted me in a different thread mate but I’ll reply here since it’s more topical. You’re assuming that season ticket revenue is some kind of silver bullet for the issue you’re talking about. But there’s no evidence to suggest that it is. An extra £1-2 million a year — in the best case scenario, whereby the same amount of people buy season cards at a higher rate — isn’t the difference between promotion and relegation. I mean, take a look at some of the season card prices of the clubs around us and tell me with a straight face that it’s delivered footballing success for them. More to the point, we were promoted to the Premier League in a season where we had very low season card prices in absolute and relative terms. The real difference is always going to come from owner investment and the fruits of a successful player trading and youth development strategy. You’re conflating two issues — a relative revenue shortfall from season cards and success on the pitch. But there’s no reason to believe, given the sums involved, that the small amount of extra revenue from increased season card prices will translate to a dramatic increase in spending on the squad and thus improved fortunes on the pitch. You also ignore the risks of raising prices. As previous administrations at the club have made clear, the current pricing structure works for Huddersfield Town and its fans. It wasn’t put in place for moral reasons, it was a conscious commercial strategy. There’s a cut off point where increased prices don’t create much more in terms of revenue because less season ticket holders also means less money for retail, commercial, and catering, etc. It also means a worse atmosphere and probably 3-10 less points on the board. There’s also the question of where does it end? Football doesn’t have a revenue problem — it makes more money than ever. It has a cost control problem. So they’ll always ask for more if you let them. Sure, it might be comfortably within *your* price range now, but what about when it’s not? Will you be so understanding then? As for the idea of entitlement, let’s not forget that our fans have saved this club twice (thrice if you include Covid, when more than ten thousand people paid over the odds for a ‘product’ they didn’t receive).

Why does pretty much everyone who creates a poll taint the results before they've even started!? WHY put "£249 - unlikely" ?! And why have the £250/£300/£350/£400 - AND then some random range of £'s in a single tiered option?! Delete the thread and start again and apply some sense 🤷♂️ why reply... I put unlikely because it very much is unlikely as Mr Nagle has said many times. In an ideal world we would all choose the lowest but that not the point of the discussion of the poll. the random range is because to me its the one that makes most sense, lower price worse seat etc. If you ask me what I think the club will do I think it will be a flat rate for all of around £330.00 and if so I also think this is pretty much spot on, i just personally prefer the lower price for the seats not as good I would be paying the mid range for example of what I said for my seats and the £330.00 flat rate would not change a thing for me. Why reply?? Because without a reply we continue to get polls that have options like the following ahead of a transfer window! "Keep this rubbish manager and make 3 or 4 signings" "Sack the rubbish manager and don't sign any players" They're totally non objective. You could have put something like this if you really wanted to put an option that you didn't want people to choose, but without corrupting the whole vote. £75 - unlikely £100 £200 £250 £300 £350 £400 then you wouldn't influence the results. And how can the range you've specified make 'most sense' ?! Its a ludicrous range...if there's £70 between lowest and highest tiers there's NO POINT in having a tiered system, you're basically saying (given there's fewer of the areas you could price high), "lets make it £350". A better tiered pricing would have £100 and more between bottom and top prices. I think a better poll is not to mention tiered pricing, and just say, "what would you want the typical" price to be, AND THEN have the discussion if you'd want a range around that.

Rather than increase season tickets across the board. Should look to offer more and get more money from richer fans and those that are not local. More hospitality offers and a membership scheme. For hospitality. I'd replace some or all of the riverside upper tier seats with the padded type they have in the centre. Then sell a premium ticket for those. Priced in-between a standard ticket and a box package. Include a pie and drink type meal somewhere (like the rope walk if not possible in the stadium), before the match with a guest speaker or meet and greet with an injured first teamer (we have enough of them). You'd need to manage the current upper tier ticket holders though. I know how contentious these seats moves can be. Invite them to a meeting first and discuss then give them something to make up for it. Then add a membership system for £30 -£50 or something. Membership gives things like; ticket offers, priority away tickets, season audio pass and more video content, club shop offers, try to do a deal for Chickens podcast etc. Maybe some voting rights to elect a fan representative to the board or other positions. I have spent years In the Riverside Upper tier...and years not even being able to see the score board!!...so charge us more for that inconvenience?? Bizarre that there's some strange notion that these are the posh seats. The seats are the same, the view is no better or worse than directly opposite in the Kilner, I'm surrounded by the same level of reprobate as anywhere else in the ground and then theres the added joy of away fans being arseholes in the White Rose seats.

In an ideal world, I would like prices to stay the same. However, I think we've been spoiled since the 2016/17 with really low prices un DH and the time of low prices may well be gone. I think £350 would be a fair price. Unfortunately, if they go up to that price, I'm not sure I'd be able to afford one plus one for my son, whatever one for a 14 year old would be. So I'd most likely have to get one for him, so he can then go with his mates which he wants to do next season, and then I pick and chose games and pay as I go. However, come the time, if they do put it up to about those prices, I'll probably end up buying both on the Credit Card, then do a 12 month interest free credit card balance transfer and pay it off that way..... the never unending cycle of more and more credit card debt!!! We haven't been spoiled by what we've seen on the pitch. With some of the shite since 2019, they should have been paying us to watch it.

Put prices up, lose fans. Simple. And when we start winning they come crawling back, paying top dollar as walk up punters.

Whatever the club decide to do re season ticket prices for next season, I won’t be making a decision this time until I know for sure which division we’re going to be playing in. It’s a product at the end of the day and I want to know what I’m buying before parting with my hard earned.

Plenty have long journeys for home games (about 450 mile round trip for me for instance) so the cost of petrol (or train tickets) far exceeds the cost of an actual ticket. Do you actually need a ST? I’ve had one in the past but for various reasons I now know I’ll only get to half the home games (at most), so I just order a ticket for the games I can make. Just because a ST might increase in price much higher than the rate of inflation shouldn’t mean you can’t still watch HTAFC at home if you want to. There are choices. I make every Saturday home game, chance to meet my father and grandfather too and we all sit together and have done as long as i can remember. I do get your point though. Same with me, Its about meeting up with family and friends as much as it is about the game. I dont expect Nagle to pump his money in by the millions whilst I only have to pay half the going rate to watch it. Its got to be a joint effort Imo and thats only fair. Id hate to see anyone priced out, so hopefully the club will have some sections where fans can still pay under £300 a season, which is still an extremely cheap price.

The one thing I'm less of a fan of is the number of price brackets we have - I think there should be a cheap, flat rate for all under 18s we currently have rates for:
Adults Under 23s Under 18s Under 16s Under 11s
I think just have one rate for Under 18s, or possibly under 18s and NUS members. One rate then for adults, and one for over 65s
Simplify it, and recognise that we're in a cost of living crisis and football is an escape for families. I'd say £300 for adults, £200 for over £65s, £100 for under 18s. This year it was:
Adults: £249 Under 23s: £159 Under 18s: £129 Under 16s: £109 Under 11s: £49
And instead of money off for early renewals. give it in the form of either a discount or voucher for the club shop. For example, half price shirts if you renew before date X. 1 shirt per ST, and must be purchased by the first home game. Or x% off a spend of up to £X, again with a deadline, say 31 August.
This would cost the club less in reality, and potentially feel more valuable to punters.

5000 wasnt too bad for the late 80s. It was often less than that. Everyone's crowds were pitiful compared to now.
But the idea back then that successfully struggling to stay up in the 2nd tier would be 'shite' would have made me laugh, thats my point really.
If our income is going to be one of the lowest in the division, ( and it will be 2nd lowest after Rotherham id imagine, even though our gates are 14th highest ) then why should anyone expect better than being in the bottom 2 or 3 ?

I'm quite lucky (or not depending on the shirt design ) that my lovely mam always gets me one of the shirts for my birthday. If that happens to be the away/third strip then I buy the home one myself, like you usually when they go on offer. I told her not to bother last year with them gong up to £50 but she still did, got the dark blue one, very nice.

They are pretty crap imo. With the current radio Leeds frequency issue let's get more subscribers and build a better product.

And a lot of people would consider that £300-£370 includes their preferred pricing of £300 or £350, which is two thirds of the other options when you've already written off "unlikely" £250 with the wording.

The money involved in football these days is so eye-watering that an extra £100.00 from me will make very little difference in the scheme of things.
However, when we have a very exciting time next year, it will help me to feel that it is MY club that is doing brilliantly and not just me watching Kevin's project.
How can we say that it is our club if we are so unwilling to chip in our share?

your "surrounded by the same level of reprobate" as anywhere else in the ground because the pricing is the same, if it was more in the upper tier as it always used to be then I would think that might change and that might be a good reason to pay the little bit extra !! Not seeing the Scoreboard could have been considered a bonus as many times this season! Seriously, just fuck off. why for being correct

In buying any product you need a sense of what you are getting. With Town the appointment of Brightenreiter there is currently as sense that Mr Nagle has an ambition to move the club forward (noting there is no guarantee of success - but there is an implied intent). As such people maybe more understanding of an increase right now, noting that a run of poor results would change the landscape again.
The balance the club has to strike is a price that is sufficiently attractive to the majority of the fanbase and how that directly relates to their ambitions for the club. This essentially comes down to how much Mr Nagle will need to put in the bridge what will still be a gap (given the bloated costs of Championship football).
It is not a linear ratio as how people feel will have a significant influence on what they will pay.
I am sure Mr Nagle understands this and, as I posted earlier, will have an amount he will look to recover from Season Ticket sales. That forms part of the overall financial structure the club works to, and to extent impacts how ambitious we can be i.e. the more revenue taken positively impacts the number relating to FFP.
We need something we can put a value against (either consciously or subconsciously), get that balance right and the club will be able to try and maximise the revenue they recover.
