Unfortunately I have FM in the car, so I’m currently listening to how poorly Leeds played today. I believe it’s a Leeds frequency but no mention of our 10 man for 45 mins position. Maybe, just maybe, we decided not to be overawed by your juggernaut and made sure you looked shite? Great result, deserved more than the point today. Some fecking goons on their phone in… In the same boat, thought "it's derby day, maybe they'll have a joint panel..." no, feck off BBC Lids. Still, we'd have maybe won that with 11 on. Ended their winning run too. Fun fact, in 2024 only Manchester City have stopped us scoring... which is even more remarkable when you think that we still had Darren Boore in charge for the first month. |

Good performance and pleased with the result thought we matched them, first half anyway and had one or 2 decent chances, think overall a draw is a fair result. No way are we going down and it stopped their 10 in a row. The referree, I'm going to have to talk about him because of his absolutely woeful performance. He couldn't wait to get his red out for Hogg, even that he got wrong because if its an elbow it's a straight red not a 2nd yellow, absolute clown. His linesmen were no better either. Gwaaan Town with the Enter Sandman too.
Pretty sure it was his forearm. From some angles it didn't look that bad but if you watch it from the same angle that the referee had then you'll see Hogg have a look at where their player is, then swing his arm into his face.

Just saw a clip on X and Pearson was lucky not to get a red for studs on Summerville’s calf. It was a red all day long. Don't think the ref was great at all,but we should have been down to 9 in first half. |

I note that te club lackey didn’t mention Hogg when interviewing AB. Not only was it spineless, it prevented the club from either putting a positive spin (if there was one), or saying that he would be fined and that was the end of it. Spineless. Again.

As frustrated as we all are with Hogg, it is no doubt that in a lot of games we are better with him in the side. We had Leeds in our pockets until the red, allowing them to have the ball but doing f*ck all with it and Hogg was a big part of that. Unfortunately he has always been and will always be a liability in games like this but then I guess it comes with the territory of his type of player.

When Wagner took over it was almost as if the whole team rediscovered the ability to pass, move and attack the opposition. I've not seen that yet. The intent to attack is more evident, but we still look weak on the ball. That's not the new man's fault though. He can only work with the players he's got available. At least we are now playing with more attacking intent, even if we don't always show the required quality on the ball. There is a much better feeling around the club though, and that is very similar to when Wagner came in. |
