Huge game Saturday really need Helik and Balker back.
On course to be a sell out when I’ve just looked at available tickets.

No, they call us dog-botherers instead. Cuts both ways. Even though the deluded fuckwits still think Manure and the like are their rivals The whole Leeds hatred thing has no real foundation and is simply generations of small town minds following their equally small minded parents. If we are not to be lil old uddersfield for ever and a day, we have to get away from this mindset, because it makes us look small, petty and it's embarrassing. Mr Nagle hasn't helped. Not in the slightest in my case. Mine is from the amount of L***s dickheads I know, FFS my own dad and sis are L***s fans, both of whom are in a minority when it comes to L***s dickheadedness. No real foundation? Have you even looked at the intertwined histories of the two clubs? If you need a lesson or two I'm sure a link can be found on here.

I am informed by a L££ds mate that they will definitely rest James, Summerville, Bamford, maybe more… Probably, only the 5th Round of the Cup tonight. Their cup final is Saturday.

Was having a chat with a Leeds mate yesterday. Sound lad, level headed. He’d much prefer they rest some key players tonight. Cup run is nice but they have to go up this year so 3 points is more important Saturday. He knows they are due to drop points at some stage but the general consensus is ‘please just not against us’ Whether you think there’s a rivalry or not, there definitely is. Leeds’ problem is they think their rivalry should be against a bigger club, so they downplay ours. I’m pretty sure over the the last couple of decades, Premier League aside, many of their highest home attendances were against us. They only come to watch the Town 😀

placed this on injured thread probably better on here my thoughts on teams for the game, I am considering no Helik.
Hoping Del is ok and it was more him being shattered he is the most important one to be fit for this game. I actually think Baulker is more important than Helik for this one with his pace against a quick leeds team.
A couple of changes subject to fitnees / availabilty from Watford, Yuta is unlucky but pearson and Lees are playing well and Baulker back with his pace, fine if Yuta plays also.
............Nicholls............... ......Pearson Lees Baulker......... Kas.........................Spencer ..........Hogg...Matos............. .............Rudoni................ .........Sorba.....Del.............
Ward also unlucky and may start also quite difficult to get everyone in at the moment.
4 could work also.
...........Nicholls........
Pearson Lees Baulker Spencer
.......Hogg....Matos........
Sorba.....Rudoni........Del
...........Ward............

Arrogant bstards the vast majority, grown up with Leeds fans belittling our club whilst having delusions of grandeur about their own due to a brief period where they cheated to gain a small amount of success! Added to that the general scummy nature of large amounts of their fan base and the hooliganism we all witnessed in the past it's not surprising we detest the fckers! We're not the only ones either, far from it, everyone hates them and for good reason! Unfortunately for us we have to live amongst them They're a good side though at the moment, appointing Bielsa seems to have kick started a golden era for them and I rate Farke. Gonna be very difficult on Saturday but we're capable of getting something if we get the rub of the green.

Mine were teenagers before they sat and watched the Leeds v Chelsea cup final replay. I did warn them beforehand as they had a set idea about what a 'feisty' professional game could be like. Jaws dropped and speechless pointing and looking at each other and me followed. I did tell them that Pele had the shit kicked out of him in a world cup finals and that Leeds v Derby games had some spectacular skullduggery in them. There is a common denominator in English games of the time that went off the rails🤔 The 1970 cup final was the week after Town were promoted & a year after L33ds finally won the 1st Division title (45 Years After Town), beating Chelsea would be their 1st FAC winners title but they failed & had to wait till 1972 (50 YAT)......Spent a long time in our shadow didn't they? That shadow first came over them in 1924 and lasted a full decade until, at the 17th attempt, they finally beat us (in the league that is - they beat us in 1931 in the Cup, their 14th attempt). We won 10 of the first 12 and all 6 at home plus a home win in the Cup, so 11 wins in the first 13 meetings overall. They still haven't caught up. My paternal grandad died in 1931 completely unaware that they were our rivals. Rabbits, more like.

No draw in the last 13 matches so one is coming. Found the first error in several years of using the excellent 11v11.com website; they have us losing 2-1 at Leeds in the Carling Cup in 2004 and it was definitely 1-0. As you would expect of a complete nerd with pedantry oozing out of every pore, I've emailed them to point it out.

Town are 9th in the current form table
I honestly think we will win on Saturday
I watched them against Leicester and the Foxes would have been 3-0 up if it wasn't for terrible finishing...they won't get an easy ride with both players and fans on their backs this Saturday lunchtime

Leeds are frightening going forward and he’s not only a brilliant defender, he’s a leader and he’s also our biggest threat at set pieces which is Leeds’ Achilles heel.

Think rest of ground will pretty much sell out. It almost has already. 22500 to 23000 would be my guess.

Gonna be very difficult on Saturday but we're capable of getting something if we get the rub of the green. I can see both sides of the debate with regard to our pals down the A62. I won't be belittled by them but by the same token I can't abide their sense of entitlement (not they are the only club who suffer from delusion). I am also able to separate my views of them and acknowledge when they have a good footballing side. Right now they have a good team and a good manager (how to manage your Premier league legacy? - let's not open that debate) so they will be favourites. From our viewpoint it is nice to go into this game with a feeling we can compete and it is possible we could get some sort of a result. What happens won't determine our fate this season, and it certainly isn't, and never was, our "cup final" but we go into the game with a bit of momentum and a better mindset. Given they are pushing for promotion this could be a banana skin for them. We have little to lose (we were embarrassed in October) so let's give it a go and see where it takes us. We are always an irritant to them, whether they admit it or not, so lets be bloody irritating on Saturday and perhaps set down a marker for the future under AB and Mr Nagle. We might have typically struggled recently lets hope that narrative might be about to change. Looking forward to the game.

One booking in that game.
Same game now would be abandoned after 30mins due to a lack of players.

We’ve drawn with Leicester, Southampton and Ipswich at home this season so there’s nothing to fear about Saturday. Winning 9 in a row in this division is quite a statement but they are still just another championship team and the best thing about this division is the madness of results (Millwall at Saints as a prime recent example)
I have a feeling it’ll be 2-2 with a sad feeling we will be 2-1 up late on but as others have said, a point here will be good and should keep the players heads up going into a big next few weeks
Lastly regarding rivals etc, if Leeds were playing Bradford I’d want Leeds to win 10-0
