The words “Terriers Together Stand” are dreadful when presented in that collective order. Good concept. Poor execution. Our marketing team still needs a lot of work. It’s the details that matter. Anyone actually have any news on the stadium situation. Going by company house and last years losses, it surly can’t expect Htafc to continue bailing the stadium out into a new financial year.

I gave an update int he stadium thread recently, but I have no intel on any progress since Xmas.

I wonder if the lack of naming rights for the stadium and stands is down to some sort of Mexican stand off between the club and Kirklees council. I can't get my head around why the club can't take ownership when the vast vast majority of income is down to us and the council refuse to pay anymore money into it.
Kirklees council are that useless I wouldn't put it past them to let the stadium go to ruin and allow the club to go with it.

So it's been the Shit Beer Stadium for free for the last 3 years 🤔 How did you come to that conclusion? Because I've tried John Smiths 🤔😉

When is stadium due a new name / sponsor? Not sure but we should get Mcalpine (Robert not Alfred; who don't exist anymore) as the sponsor! Would be great for them to be associated with such a superb piece of engineering and when Kev's finished with it I think it will probably look even better. It will always be the Mcalpine in my head and never the kirklees stadium, John Smith's or galpharm! It'll always be Leeds Road to me 😉 Not sure why McAlpines is held in such high regard tbh, that name only feels "right" because they were the first sponsors and they won the contract to build the place. There isn't anything in particular about the name or the company (which no longer exists under that name anyway) that earns them a privileged position in my eyes. Naming rights being sold has never really sat right with me though, I'd rather it were named something like "The Frank Worthington* Memorial Stadium"- and if a company wants to pay to have its logo featured prominently, that's all they get. *= other players also available, Ray Wilson would work just as well. Maybe the word "Memorial" can be dropped as it's a bit of a mouthful.
