Good cause but feels like a commercial opportunity missed? A lot of talk about how far behind we commercially so it seems an odd one to me unless I am missing something? If the commercial team is still any like like it was when I had dealings with them (utter dog shit) it is no surprise we struggle in this department.
I have been surprised with the lack of commercial activity since Kev came in tbh, thought he would be brining some partners with him as is often the case these days.

On the contrary it makes the stand look far better and much more like our home.
Love it, personally - the value of creating a recognisable brand at our stadium shouldn't be overlooked.

All akin to putting lipstick on a pig as long as the ground as a whole is named after p!sswater that nobody would drink by choice and is only good for slug traps...

What's happened with the 'Big Red' sponsorship of that stand?
Also, how have we managed to do this when we don't own or control the stadium?

Hopefully it looks better in the flesh. What's it for though? Losing out on sponsorship money, I'm not quite sure what it's meant to achieve? Is it like a big virtue signal? It's great that the club welcomes everyone, but it should go without saying in this day and age surely? I'm possibly missing the point as I've only read the article re the stand.

Well we all seem to be since 29th January when Darren Moore was sacked - š
My goodness we could almost have DATM advertised on the rest of that faceia board !!! š

I think it looks quite good.
Maybe have been better with the crÄst rather than the (IMO) crappy terrier thing, but still looks nice.
Better than some sponsor anyway unless it's denying us some income.
Edit: Not sure where the "virtue-signalling" comments come from. It's not even in rainbow colours, was just a comment from DTS about inclusivity. To me it just looks like a "we're in it together" kind of message.

When is stadium due a new name / sponsor? Not sure but we should get Mcalpine (Robert not Alfred; who don't exist anymore) as the sponsor! Would be great for them to be associated with such a superb piece of engineering and when Kev's finished with it I think it will probably look even better. It will always be the Mcalpine in my head and never the kirklees stadium, John Smith's or galpharm!

In summary; 1) it was Alfredās company, not the subsidiary associated with Robert, that built it and 2) Alfred was sued quite a long time ago now by the family for using the āMacAlpineā name and lost. He can no longer use the name for business purposes. Alfred MacAlpine is now a defunct business.

So it's been the Shit Beer Stadium for free for the last 3 years š¤ Probably not for free, they've probably negotiated a minimal rolling contract. Unless our marketing department was INCREDIBLY shit, which is highly likely I suppose.

The words āTerriers Together Standā are dreadful when presented in that collective order.
Good concept. Poor execution.
Our marketing team still needs a lot of work. Itās the details that matter.

If its inclusivity theyre wanting , couldn't they have kept the sponsor money for that stand rolling in and just taken down all the signs saying 'No ethnic minorites'..'No women'..'No disabled' etc etc ??
