Leeds is the 3rd biggest city in England and their support has always been crap. I agree with the second part of your statement, but Leeds is the 5th biggest city after London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool. Biggest one club city then?

Walking past the coaches I said loudly, that’s the quietest away support we’ve seen all season, to which I was told to fcuk off you fat old c**t, think i hit a raw nerve there Don’t question anything to do with Leeds’ fans to them. Any narrative other than ‘best in England’ ‘huge’ ‘amazing limbs’ and they kick off. They especially don’t like it when you point out that their stadium was regularly empty before the got half decent. For example: 8 years ago they averaged 22k. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leeds-united/besucherzahlenentwicklung/verein/399

Talking about big city clubs that dont have good support...Birmingham city must come top of the pile here, ok theres Aston villa who are much more successful but for the country's second city Birminghams support has been poor over the years.

Pure numbers, that’s all they’ve got going for them. A 1 song fan base.

In bold - that's got a lot to do with it. Villa are huge down here. Then you've got Wolves, WBA, Walsall who are all within the same urban sprawl.

I thought Manchester is only up there when Salford is included, like Newcastle is big when Gateshead is included, both have smaller populations than their lesser known neighbours.

The Leeds view of their own support should be treated with the same disdain as their claims that they ARE (present tense) the Champions of Europe. I bet they're still writing to Jim'll Fix It seeing if they can make it come true.

A game in which they sang about it being 'our cup final'.

Brum have never won anything important either unless the League Cup counts

Their allocation of 2300 tickets + appeared to taken up by the more mature fan , plenty of families in attendance as well . I think the corporates held onto their tickets for this game rather than passing them on !

They wouldn't want to miss their cup final Just about the only bright spot of the trip to Elland Rd this season was when their stadium announcer made a bit of a song & dance about the attendance being their highest of the season. Cue the remaining Town fans singing "In your cup final, 4-1".

Not just saying it because it's Leeds but the support was probably one of the worst to come here this season given the numbers. Having said that there was at least 100+ empty seats towards the bottom. Very quiet all game, not really a single chant other than the predictable MOT at kick off which was drowned out immediately, and even when they scored it almost felt muted. Very strange.

www.ozwhitelufc.net.au/15-03-1967%20LUFC%20v%20Sunderland.htmI was locked out of that game thankfully, an 11 year-old taken there by my mate and his dad. Saw my first Town away game 13 days later at Wolves, where we lost, of course. Also locked out of Elland Road at Easter 1972, when they managed to fill their ground for a second time. The link shows Rod Belfitt playing for Leeds. George Mulhall and a young Colin Todd played for Sunderland, who liked big cup replays in these parts in the 60s. Note at the top of the webpage the copied Town kit that Leeds were so proud to play in. Their ground is a skip nowadays, but just look at it in 1967 with no roof on their main (I can't bring myself to write its name) end. #theirfansweresuchentitledsonsofbitchesevenmorethenthantheyarenowwhichisasgoodareasonasanyfordespisingthemfor50+years

Sometimes I wish there was a place where opposing fans could chat and have a laugh like civilised humans, without the vile "banter". Twitter/X clearly isn't the place! We have a Stoke, Watford, even an odd Leeds fan who come on here and chat which is refreshing. Willing to bet there's loads more.......Would be even more enjoyable on here if there was. It just gets a bit tiresome on Twitter at times.....though I do dislike Leeds as much as the next man. They're all odd.

On course for a record breaking run and going for autos. Piss poor considering that. Bit of noise at the start, bit of noise when they scored. Woeful.

The Jimmy Saville song was coming through loud and clear on sky😁👏👏 Funnily enough, during the work at Huddersfield station last week, a load of posters from the 1980s were uncovered- some of which had a certain dead celebrity on them... Someone was sent to cover him up with gaffer tape within minutes, of course!
