Holi is today, Monday the 25th March. Easter Sunday falls on March 31st this year. You're welcome. A Hindu festival. I love all the different celebrations, despite being atheist. Some of the Hindi ones are proper fun, colourful and riotous. Love Ramzan (Ramadan), free iftar from neighbours and bosses. So long as the Christian ones are celebrated too I don't see the problem. I wouldn't mind doing a true Viking Yule celebration, just don't forget the bandages; the fun and games can be quite dangerous

It is Holy Week.
It is also the separate Hindu festival of Holi. Which is what Town are commemorating.
There is no slight except that which is imagined. Nobody needed to be offended whatsoever.

Happy Holy Week/Easter
You do you mate but sending tweets about things isnt a one or the other activity. Same way the veggie choice doesnt remove the option of a meat choice.
I understand people have been riled up and made to feel scared that their history and culture is being erased but at least wait until Easter Sunday before getting yourself worked up over it.

Easter is a Pagan festival about the start of spring.
Itās all about the sun and the moon. Good Friday is the first Friday on or after the first full moon after the spring equinox. The equinox was on 20th March, full moon tonight so good Friday is this Friday.

Stayed open one night for some Moonraker event. People draped in white sheets, some playing drums marching. It was like a scene from The Wicker Man. The missus turned to me at one point and said āIām scared ā. Oddballs.

I see we've moved on from the shirts to the hindus... What did the Hindus ever do for us!!!? They invented the number 0 (zero) something the Romans didn't do.

Which is why I gave my puerile Kama Sutra answer I was simply trying to set someone up to post: "yeah but apart from Indigo dye, jute, sugar, cheques, Kabaddi, snakes and ladders, buttons on clothing, cashmere, chintz, leather tanning, shampoo, yoga, Tonsillectomies, caesarean sections, Iron working, docks, diamond drills, glassblowing, Indian Ink, the number Zero, decimals, and IVF, what have the Hindus ever done for us?"
