FFS, I thought he'd died then. Great article. Always think the same when I see a thread dedicated entirely to one player. Is it the dour Yorkshireman in us?

And the fact we've lost two of his colleagues in quick succession. I saw Dick at Bobby Hoy's funeral, he's a lot smaller than I thought he'd be for some reason.

I remember the headline when he scored against England "Crikey its Krzywicki!". At least I think that was the game. Good player for Town. Nice interview.

I saw Dick at Bobby Hoy's funeral, he's a lot smaller than I thought he'd be for some reason. It's a fact that we shrink as we age, Lee. I met Frank Worthington at a Town game pre-match outside and shook his hand. I was amazed at how much shorter than me he was, and I'm not and never have been six foot. I know for sure that he used to be much taller.

I remember him well. He had a great start to his career at Town, and scored the opening goal early on against Watford on a magical night when the magnificent Jimmy Nicholson lifted the Second Division championship at a packed Leeds Road. A special night.
Dick K was a speed merchant but, in my opinion, didn’t quite fulfill his career as well as it could have been.
Wingers have always been my favourite kind of player, having been a left winger myself in my school years and after, and they still are.

Yep, my paternal grandfather was 5'9, 5'10 when he was a footballer/boxer/miner/bus driver. But by the time I was an adult he was only just taller than me and I'm a 5'6" shortarse

I remember him missing a gobber at Anfield, our first away game in the first division, 1970.it was 0-0 at the time and we ended up getting thraked 4-0. We were table toppers at the time (after 2 games). We had beaten Blackpool 3-0 and Southampton 3-1. Liverpool had a very young team that were finding their feet but they taught us a lesson that day but what an occasion it was for me

Great atmosphere, not a great result. UTT

There should be a system of shorties up front and tall people further back

He’s looking radiant and well indeed ! 😊 How lovely also is it to hear him speak so fondly of his time at Huddersfield Town and his retirement in and around the town of Huddersfield... 👍 He states that Wales would’ve been his No.1 choice to win tonight but I guess from his point of view that if they had to lose then the best team to lose to would be Poland... Great old pic of him scoring at the old Ninian Park and packed terrace like our Popular End, The old floodlight pylon with the PA loudspeakers attatched and the advertising on the roof... (Probably a Welsh Beer 🍺 if I remember back 44 years ago) !

Actually I should have put NEARLY always. Guy at Download last year let me and my [ahem] "friend" go in front of him, but I'm pretty sure that was just so he could get a view of her mighty fine arse

We haven't scored a single goal against them since - we hit the bar against them in the 0-1 at home in 1971-72, Clyde spurned enough chances for at least a hat-trick in the Cup, no penalty against James Milner....

Oh I still get that too it's not exclusive to you lanky guys, especially if you're attending a gig with your other half or you've pulled at a festival. Women have probably shortened me by a couple of inches doing that, that's my excuse for being a shortarse anyway
