Fans are there to watch the game. They respond to the game. If the team aren't doing anything to excite the crowd, the crowd goes quiet. If there's more people in the crowd, it's less quiet at those moments, and louder in the louder moments. It's on the club to draw people in with offers, because we're playing too poorly to get a sizeable or noisy crowd.

The club need to get the stadium full too. I don't think anyone will have an issue with the club pulling out all the stops with cheap deals to get the place packed. A full stadium leads to better atmosphere and better atmosphere helps the home team. Hell for me - they could give away freebies if they have to. Fill the place. Lets not die wondering what could have been - anything that gives us any kind of advantage we should do. There does seem to have been a lack of engagement with the actual match day experience under the new ownership. I'm not commenting on the effectiveness, but all the stuff over the years under Hoyle like clappers, blue and white card displays, (and tshirts!), days etc etc came out at those times when a bit of togetherness & momentum was needed from the stands (ALL stands, not just the 20-30 folk organising stuff in the South Stand). All I've really noticed is some speakers appeared pitch-side that were INCREDIBLY LOUD for one game blasting Rambo and music at me to the extent I had to shout to be heard by the person stood next to me, but then from the next game onwards I've not heard a single word over the PA 🤷♂️😅 think Anne Hough was in charge of the 'match day experience' ... but yes, you'd think they'd be trying to pull more fans in with cheap offers but the club just seems asleep, drifting away to league one without so much as a blink of the eye... I'm half thinking KN doesn't mind us being relegated...he can have a cheap team pootling in league one while he concentrates on other commercial matters and developments for a few years....plus of course Dean has a 'promotion' clause worth a few £m's doesn't he..which presumably is just for a few years ?

yes you can with ambition and performances on the pitch, the stadium will not be half empty and tickets will start at less than £370.00 the most expensive might be close to £370 but the majority will not be. Again worry about next season once this season is over. But you've got no involvement with the club Well they've SAID that, prices will move TOWARDS the average over the next few seasons..its not rocket science to deduce that they aren't going to suddenly whack most up by £120 or £70 in one jump depending on how you state what this seasons prices have been.

Right now I dont care about next season I care about the final 6 games and making sure we can think about Championship football again next season..... so you don't care about the atmosphere next season? very short term thinking tbh Short term is all that matters right now. Something that should have been obvious all season until we had 50 odd points. I think this is a great thread but i’m struggling for ideas. Get some legends on the pitch. Can Boothy get on the mic before the game and Rocket Ron at half time. Get the annoying clappers back out. Some daft firework display. Owt 😂 and if they do win Saturday over the top celebrations from every member of staff on the pitch.

Could you do anything at half time? Surely enough time for someone to blast out a couple of bangers.

I'd say a tenner for adults and a fiver for all concessions for the next 3 games and bring back the clappers for the noise but also because my collection is on the low side of things.

I know 4 different families who 'won' competitions for tickets from sponsors for the Coventry game - all in lower tier behind goal.
This seems a bit of a coincidence and it did look busier than normal which would suggest that they've been giving away tickets for this area - but it needs to go further. the club should be putting something out today about a £10 special for all areas on Saturday if the had any sense.

All he's basically said is they will be more than they are now but the max will be 370! Sounds about right to me for year one as long as there aren't many at 370, perhaps just Riverside right in the middle for example.

Again worry about next season once this season is over. I get your point, however there hasn't been much ambition shown so far from the new owner and there certainly hasn't been good performances on the pitch, so why push up the ticket prices a ridiculous amount? Next season, if I see a team challenging for the playoffs with money being spent by Mr Nagle and a far better squad, then I wouldn't be upset with a ticket price increase after that season. It just feels ridiculous to point to ambition and performances on the pitch being a factor in pushing ticket prices up when we have won a grand total of EIGHT games all season, and signed 4 players in the summer after letting around 20 go. FWIW I am a fan of Nagle's commitment to the club, I genuinely believe that he is starting to get more things right and that he is learning from the mistakes earlier in the season. However, a ridiculous increase for the reasons you have given me would just be plain stupid.

Jeez, UB40 would have me avoiding the place like the plague. If they served up plenty of 'red, red wine' I could be pursuaded to stay and get sloshed.

I actually dont diagree with you that the performances have not been good enough. My point is however we now need to forget about whats in the past and concentrate on now and Millwall at home creating an atmosphere to help that team give us the performance us fans deserve. I am not blaming the fans, I am saying we can however do more to help create an atmosphere starting at 3pm Sat. I think you just like to disagree with everything I say HTAFOKAY It's very difficult to keep an atmosphere going for 90 minutes when the team on the pitch are putting in yet another lacklustre performance. I disagree with everything you say because you generally talk rubbish. Alanis Morissette rang for you……

If they play decent attacking football and score some goals the atmosphere will take care of itself. But we need the atmosphere before we see the performance its not a lot to ask, we need to as fans try and help create the performance you are looking for. English football fans are very reactive to what is going on out of the field. If the team come out and have a go then the crowd will react positively to that. It really is as simple as that. Having been involved with the Cowshed Loyal group over the years I can tell you now that no amount of promotions, rallying calls, gimmicks or anything else of that nature makes a blind bit of difference. If the tean don't come out and give the fans something to shout about then they wont. Should it be like that? Maybe not, and thats a different debate, but for now thats how it is.

I like the idea of boothy on the mic before the game. The fan interaction from the new regime should do something.
Living in the north east I only watch most games on iFollow. Anything that drowns out “oggy’s” annoying commentary would be greatly received…..

Ok. Help me here.
With the understanding in this thread of two things to put aside:
1. The chicken and egg. Some think it’s on the players. Some want the fans to be loud. I can’t control on pitch but I can certainly pass ideas on about atmosphere help. So any ideas, preferably neatly laid out, would be appreciated. I agree we need JS absolutely rocking.
2. If CastleHill Terrier works for the club, it’s news to me. And if he does and it’s found out, my guess is that relationship would change quite quickly. For what it’s worth, I’d bet my house he doesn’t, but that’s another argument.
So in closing, ideas are appreciated. Especially ones that are doable on shorter notice.
As for match atmosphere from the club standpoint- that’s a longer convo. But I would bet that next season this will 100% not be a conversation, there are quite a few things in the works. But as someone else said, all focus is on this season and doing all to stay up.
Appreciate as always, I’ll do what I can as a conduit, and UTT

In the past there have been price promos for these huge matches. Some kind of flash deal on tickets to get the undecided fans through the door is what I'm talking about. It might make a difference. Stoke had some kind of deal for the game on Monday. makes total sense.

Noise has to start from the south stand, so support anything the Cowshed Loyal want to do. Clappers may help, although some people hate them. As Jacko is normally at the stadium on match days get him on the pitch beforehand to give everyone a bit of a rousing speech (remember Mark Lillis doing this). Anything to get people fired up really.

It’s a tough one. Those bemoaning short term solutions need to realise we have 3 home games to save ourselves.
Artificial boosts are notoriously hit and miss but bums on seats naturally create a buzz.
I’d suggest a 3 match ticket for £30/£10. Bring back clappers. Go all out to boost the crowd and get some noise made, it’s often a self-propelling mechanism where increased attendance creates energy, that energy translates to the pitch and the crowd and team feed off each other.
Sell it as a call to arms. The club need a 12th man and we can all play a part. We might be a miserable bunch in general but when the club has needed us in the past, we’ve always been there.
Go all out. Get Uncle Kev to recreate the Uncle Sam recruiting posters. 270 minutes on home soil to pull back us from the brink. Make it a cause to believe in for every floating fan in the West Riding.

Put clappers on seats. Unless we're two down inside 5 mins it will definitely improve the atmosphere and hopefully the team will respond! Ps. Thanks for confirming CHT is not connected to the club. Hopefully the penny will now finally drop with some people!!
