Ok. Help me here. With the understanding in this thread of two things to put aside: 1. The chicken and egg. Some think it’s on the players. Some want the fans to be loud. I can’t control on pitch but I can certainly pass ideas on about atmosphere help. So any ideas, preferably neatly laid out, would be appreciated. I agree we need JS absolutely rocking. 2. If CastleHill Terrier works for the club, it’s news to me. And if he does and it’s found out, my guess is that relationship would change quite quickly. For what it’s worth, I’d bet my house he doesn’t, but that’s another argument. So in closing, ideas are appreciated. Especially ones that are doable on shorter notice. As for match atmosphere from the club standpoint- that’s a longer convo. But I would bet that next season this will 100% not be a conversation, there are quite a few things in the works. But as someone else said, all focus is on this season and doing all to stay up. Appreciate as always, I’ll do what I can as a conduit, and UTT I think at this late stage, ignoring on the pitch, these are the only options and both are proven to help: Maximise the crowd through promotions, free and cheap tickets. Put clappers on seats. Unless we're two down inside 5 mins it will definitely improve the atmosphere and hopefully the team will respond! Ps. Thanks for confirming CHT is not connected to the club. Hopefully the penny will now finally drop with some people!! These. Plus change the pre-match music. Help the crowd to build atmosphere with a few old favourites that people know - der der der der der der Michael Hefele... It might not be relevant to the here and now, but it will give the crowd a bit of a lift and a chance to build some pre-match noise. We need a play-off atmosphere (although considering we've won one of ten home play-off games, that might not be much of a positive), and those nights have always started well before kick-off. I honestly couldn't tell you, beyond Enter Sandman, what our pre-match music was these days or its relevance to football.

Contact every junior football team in the catchment area and offer them free tickets.
For every season ticket holder, do a "Friend for a Fiver" or "Quid A Kid" offer for them to bring friends/family.
Change the bloody music. Playing the likes of ABBA's "Gimme Gimme Gimme" at a football match in 2024. Why?
Build up to the kick-off from 2:50pm, get the music blaring, get the announcer to ramp the crowd up a bit.

Matos to put one of Millwall's players in the stand with an early "reducer" (but stay on the pitch somehow) We love a good tackle and it's almost as good as a goal to get the crowd going. Oh and clappers or similar. Agree with Jacko to come on and rally the crowd too pre match. He knows how to affect a great escape.

If they play decent attacking football and score some goals the atmosphere will take care of itself. But we need the atmosphere before we see the performance its not a lot to ask, we need to as fans try and help create the performance you are looking for. The crowd will help on Saturday don’t you worry, time for the team to stand up and deliver.

Just a point on cheap tickets, it maybe just me and my memory but I'm sure every tike we have ever done a promo game in the past we have ended up getting beaten. Would be good to know some stats on this.
I know it's a coincidental thing, lucky undies and all that but right now I'd take black magic and voodoo dolls to get us out of this shite state.

Appreciate as always, I’ll do what I can as a conduit, and UTT Chicken and Egg is correct, however it would be amazing for the fans to be at it from the start this week and for the final games this season, we might just see a lift to the team if we can be louder, every angle is needed to maximise the results in the next 6 games every little will help. The away atmospheres have been so much better this season it would be amazing to recreate this at home with more fans, at Stoke on Monday I could not speak after the match as I lost my voice from shouting / Singing so much! I am just angry I go on holiday Sunday and miss two vital games. @justasmithers I have said many times I don't work for the club, your house is very much safe, just a fan with an opinion, who wants everyone to get behind the team. Other ideas on this thread like getting the stadium full or at least more fans in would help. As always your honesty and posting on here is very much appreciated.

Watching a successful team drives an atmosphere, or at least watching a team that shows it’s really trying out there on the pitch.
The Corberan season had some good atmospheres, as did the Wagner season and the first season in the PL.
The only things that get a crowd going are a team on the front foot from the off, creating chances. A poor Ref winding folk up, or a niggly passage of play where the opposition are kicking lumps out of your team.
Unfortunately it’s rare that an atmosphere creates itself from the off and sustains it for anything more than a couple of mins.
I’m hoping we see the first of those scenarios on Sat…

But as someone else said, all focus is on this season and doing all to stay up. Appreciate as always, I’ll do what I can as a conduit, and UTT Really appreciate the open dialogue so fair play For me a very easy one would be to address the turnstiles in the Fantastic Media stand. I don't sit in that stand - I'm in the Kilner - but there is always a massive queue it seems with fans waiting to get it. I noticed that only two of the 4 turnstyles were open the other day on the Kilner Bank entrance to the FM stand The Kilner Bank and Riverside stands rarely have queues as there is sufficient turnstiles open so why not reallocate some of the turnstile staff from where they are not needed as much (Kilner and Riverside) to where they are needed (FM) FM is the family stand so lots of people's first experience of Town games are in that stand. They won't be familiar with the ticket scanning process and many needlessly miss the start - so it's instantly a bad first experience. Remember as well some of these "customers" will be deciding whether to follow Town or another side because not everyone has an instant connection or affinity to the club and you have to start somewhere. If the first experience is a bad one they may not rush back In terms of how this helps in the stands. If as many fans are in there seats as possible when the players come out of the tunnel the more to make some noise etc I don't believe it's rocket science but just needs someone to actually do a few "mystery customer" style shop - regular ticket, trying to buy something from the shop, trying to get a beer within a mile of the ground, trying to get a pie 5 mins before the second half starts (always sold out) - and then benchmark it against the experience a US customer at Sacramento Republic would expect and then if there's a gap fill in the spaces and use say the knowledge from the Catering Manager at Sac Republic to improve stock ordering of food at Hudds so we don't run out etc There's probably some basic food/ drink to spectator ratio or similar I'm not trying to be clever but rather give honest feedback. As said the idea that could be easily implemented and improve the experience for other Town fans - and the FM stand turnstile situation is a no brainer to me I hope that is helpful and all the best

The club need to get the stadium full too. I don't think anyone will have an issue with the club pulling out all the stops with cheap deals to get the place packed. A full stadium leads to better atmosphere and better atmosphere helps the home team. Hell for me - they could give away freebies if they have to. Fill the place. Lets not die wondering what could have been - anything that gives us any kind of advantage we should do. Fully agree free tickets, cheap tickets a deal if you buy a ticket for all the last 3 home games anything to get more people in the ground. Small changes could just help the team we all need to do our bit more than ever now. Exactly. Needs all the stands, and especially the supposed more vocal sections, to be proactive rather than reactive. If we give all we can the ball is firmly in the court of the players/staff to live up to it. We can't keep waiting to be entertained first.

But we need the atmosphere before we see the performance its not a lot to ask, we need to as fans try and help create the performance you are looking for. English football fans are very reactive to what is going on out of the field. If the team come out and have a go then the crowd will react positively to that. It really is as simple as that. Having been involved with the Cowshed Loyal group over the years I can tell you now that no amount of promotions, rallying calls, gimmicks or anything else of that nature makes a blind bit of difference. If the tean don't come out and give the fans something to shout about then they wont. Should it be like that? Maybe not, and thats a different debate, but for now thats how it is. Let's change the narrative. I'm sure it's achievable if everyone makes the effort...and it will be an effort based on the on-field dirge

I get it has been awful and its not as enjoyable as if we are winning but if we can somehow help HTAFC maintain championship football, then we should make the effort. If you are not turing up because its rubbish change the attitude turn up for the last few games, If you are not creating an atmosphere because its awful on the pitch change the mindset and start to create an atmopshere before they kick off, just maybe we might get to see a better performance on the pitch to match a better performance off the pitch. Lets be positive for the final few games, with the correct attitude we can acheive anything, starting with a massive 3 points this weekend.

I am fed up with all the negative people, we are far from relegated and we have the chance to help the team in our own little way so why wouldnt we try to do it, I for one believe we can still get the points required to stay up and I will be singing my heart out at the weekend.
