So the first player to go to Sac Republic. What is their actual standard like? Will it be beneficial for him?

I agree, after all his injury issues it gives him a chance to play competitive football through our off season. Although I don’t think their season finishes until October so when he comes back he will have missed the end of our window to go elsewhere.

I see that he's 25. If he can't even make the bench here, his future must lie elsewhere.
Although Lge 1 might see him get the odd game, if we go down.

Time to cut this man - not a boy - loose. He will never make it at Town, so it’s time to move him on permanently, no more loans. We have to be better than this guy.

Ah. But how would that benefit Nagle and this link between the two teams that has been forced?

He's actually 24, not 25 but the point is still the same.
I actually thought he was 20/21

I actually thought he was 20/21 Arrived with us after a couple of years out injured which had him behind on his development compared to others his age. Was worth a gamble, he's had some loan spells where he's done alright, some not so well, some injured.

Both of KP and REG are the same age group, one got moved on what about this chap? how long do you keep with it in the hope he becomes what he should/ hoped to be?

But in terms of development, probably once they've stagnated for more than one season. For REG, that was this season. Probably the same for Phillips, also Jackson and Simpson.

Even allowing for that, a 22/23-year-old who has played 11 games isn't likely to make the breakthrough; Phillips is 24/25, when he should be approaching the peak of his powers. His injury record is also against him. He might come good, but we can't rely on that. I wish the lad well, but for our good we need to allow him to go elsewhere.

Any other players they want to take off our hands? They just need to have a quick dig in our massive reject bin.

Standard of the defending for the second is awful. National league north defenders wouldn’t be letting the ball bounce like that from a keepers long kick.

Neat finishes for both, but neither should have happened really, especially the second.
The first, someone should have slid in.

Could we, perhaps, sell for a six-figure sum? Thinking FFP. If Sacramento were to stump up £100,000, that's £100,000 more for our transfer kitty - effectively one man spending the same money twice. If there are others in our B team who would benefit from the same treatment, it kills two birds with one stone. We lose their salaries, make a bit of money, they get regular football in an improving league, and both sides strengthen.
Which means, of course, it doesn't work like that, but we can be forgiven for trying. Surely?

Post above mate Twitter links weren't showing on my feed at the time, just the comment. Ironically that's what led me to look for video of the goals. The links are showing now.

It would also depend upon what rules they have across the pond (he's unlikely to sacrifice their success for ours!) bbut that would be worth looking into.

It's why my 'perhaps' is there. For such a rampantly capitalist nation, it's remarkable how financially regulated American sport is. I know there's a salary cap, but I don't know about transfer fees.
