Looks like Big Col Shutler has bagged the accolade on this occasion.

Sacramento Republic qualified for the play offs, it looks like 16 teams are in it with 8 each from east/west, so I presume over around 4 weeks before a final decider in November?.......Once the last game involving Sac is played I guess Phillips returns to become part of the Town squad?

His loan lasts until the end of this month. If he returned to us though, I don't know whether he would become available for us to pick in a matchday squad. We still have 2 spaces (I had previously - incorrectly - assumed that loan players counted toward the 22 man total but they don't, so Callum Marshall is classed as a youth player), but I don't know what the rules are for registering returning loan players. I'd say it's fairly academic - with Healey, Koroma, Marshall, Ladapo, Radulovic, and Ward currently ahead of him, and Kyle Hudlin's loan due to expire at the end of January I don't like his chances of getting on the bench, let alone getting even a single minute of first team action. s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/gc-media-assets.gc.eflservices.co.uk/af8a4700-742d-11ef-8847-298495d2bc0b.pdfIf SacTown's season ends in November then it makes sense for all parties for his loan to be extended until the end of their season. Then maybe look at fixing him up either with a Lg2 or National League club over here, or building his career across the pond if that's what he wants.

His loan ends at end of November He won't go to national league 😂😂😂 He got Exeter promoted from league 2 and had a good spell at Morecambe in league one. National League loan would be a massive back step. Only reason he went to Sacramento was due to coming back from injury after the UK window shut. Been a good move really. 15 goals so far.

don’t see why he can’t get a run in the team when he’s back. 22/23 season he got 10 goal contributions in 20 games in league one for a struggling morecambe side and he’ll be fit firing and full of confidence after bagging for fun in the farmers league

He will surely be given a chance to prove himself, the owner has been watching KP bag goals for fun in his local team recently so I guess he will want to see if he can make the step up......League one is currently littered with players who were playing regular in the NL 2/3 years ago, maybe the gulf is not as big as some make out?

Could this thread be moved onto the main forum as it’s hardly a transfer rumour, he’s our player and will be back at the club soon. I hope he is given a chance, I’d much prefer him to Radulovic and ladapo. Apart from Koroma, we don’t have a striker with pace and we need that option

Personally I'd keep this one hidden back here until we can at least demonstrate the ability to spell our own players' names correctly.

We have until January 31st to at least see if the loan at Sac has improved him, I reckon KP would jump at the chance to join up with the 1st team squad asap probably declining to take his 2/3 week break........I suspect a number of UCL teams would be more than happy to sign him.

He could be available this time next week if Sac lose in the play offs on Friday, Duff & Nagle both asked by RL about KP haven't a clue what's happening, do we get him in the 1st team squad asap & have a look......EFL Trophy, FA cup 2nd round (hopefully) & Wycombe away minus Callum coming up soon, why not?

TBH I'd say that in itself is a reasonable indication of where he currently sits in the plans. (If we were to put a charitable spin on it, the idea of a player being asked to play back-to-back seasons without any sort of break probably wouldn't even occur to MD / KN.) Those two at least have the luxury of being able to ask David Fox on this sort of thing. RL and the general public need to refer to the relevant section of the EFL Handbook: "Regulation 55.5.3: An International Loan ‘out’ can only be for a half-season or a full season (calculated by reference to the other National Associations’ transfer window), unless otherwise expressly approved in accordance with Regulation 55.6 below – registration of a Player who does not qualify for a Governing Body Endorsement (work permit). However, a player returning from loan inside an EFL Closed Period will not be eligible for your Club until the opening of the next transfer window" It didn't escape my attention that Duff admitted to having attempted to take Phillips to Barnsley in the January of his promotion tilt there. I suspect he would place him above Bojan and Ladapo in his striking pecking order here due to his greater energy in the press. But who knows what sort of shuffling of that group is in store for January...

Hopefully when he comes back from his loan spell, as well as training with the first team for a month, plays a few B team games as a 'Trialist' That should give MD enough time to have a proper look at him and decide if he's worth keeping as an option for Jan - May or not.

One of Kieran's fifteen goals was voted 'play of the year' by the Sac fans along with a save from keeper Vitiello, both polled 50% of the votes.....Maybe we will see a few offers for KP in January from the US leagues, unless he stays with Town?
