Jarnail Singh was so bad he once gave a foul throw when a Town player was just throwing the ball to the full back to take the throw. James Linington sent Van la Parra off at Reading for shouting at himself Was it Singh who gave us a goal at Oakwell when it went straight in from a throw in ?

I mistakenly thought this thread was about Raquel Welch. As you might imagine, I’m now greatly disappointed that she wasn’t in Huddersfield this weekend. I was hoping to share with her the delights of Costas, much better than Starbucks that she’ll be used to. I even thought she might appreciate being fattened up a bit with a visit to Bolster Moor Farm Shop. After couple of pork pies, peas and chips, she’d look grand. Imagine my even greater surprise when I discovered she’s been dead for over a year! RIP Raquel, you were the best referee ever…erm, oops…I mean best ever actress. I can picture the scene, as she tucked into her pie and peas whilst you leaned into her ear and softly whispered, ‘how’s your growler?’ I’m sure she’d have understood our quaint, local dialect.

I have no memory of him, what sort of era are we talking? I grew up with George Courtney being the one ref we could rely on to shaft us. 2000s. Was a copper who used to run the line in the Premier League and was once spotted running the line live on Sky whilst off sick at work 😂 Bald bastard with a tache who hated us. We very rarely seemed to win when he refused. Another terrible one was Jarnail Singh. Absolutely garbage he was and shafted us a few times. I don't think much changes, only the names, and reckon fans of all 92 League clubs will insist that the refs are against them. That's just football. No memory of him at all 😁

Peter Willis - everytime the fat bald cheat and that useless cheating fecker Alcock v Wimbledon in FA Cup. Wasnt it Alcock Di Canio pushed over? You're thinking of David Elleray against Wimbledon, surely? He denied us a clear penalty in a cup match under Jacko for handball. Ayy Ellery - most blatant penalty ever but didnt give it because Wimbledon were top flight.

We made dicks out of ourselves then too, by threatening to sue someone to get the decision reversed. That was another time! It was Jeff Winter on that occasion in the League Cup. A new, naive owner decided he wanted to sue... To be fair, it was a disgraceful decision not to award a last minute penalty that night. Winter was a really crap ref with a huge ego.

It was and he added insult to injury by saying that the reason he didn't give it was because our player had fouled theirs before being fouled himself. If that were true then he'd have obviously blown for that foul but he didn't so clearly he was bullshitting.

Who was the pillock who didn’t give that pen v Charlton at home when Vaughan was shoved over 6 yards out? Possibly the most stonewall penalty I’ve ever seen and the twat waived play on.

Winter was such a prick, here's a line or two from his autobiography (his last game was at Liverpool): "I played a little bit of extra time, waiting until play was at the Kop end before sounding the final shrill blast...the fans behind the goal burst into spontaneous applause. It was longer and louder than normal, even for a big home win. Did they know it was my final visit? Was it applause for me? They are such knowledgeable football people, it would not surprise me." COCK He actually explained that in his Undr The Cosh interview and said that he'd intended that as a pisstake and put some exclamation marks after that passage but when the book was edited they were taken out. He says it makes him look like he loves himself but was actually taking the piss.

I can’t believe she sacked Neil Warnock, bought bugger all over the summer, hired Darren Moore then refused to sack him when he was taking us down then spent a load on crocked players in January. That bint has single-handedly relegated us. Exactly. She is totally responsible for every single point of the 27 that we lost from winning positions this season. (Checks notes, actually 3 of the 27 but I won't let facts get in the way.)

I remember Jon Worthington getting sent off at Accrington for having a shot.
Mike Jones was the referee that day. Same game we were in on goal and some stupid Town fan ran on streaking.

Trevor Kettle in recent times has been a bad one for us. Tbf Trevor Kettle was crap for everyone. There was no vendetta against us at least. Just for a bit of balance I can only recall one occasion in 40 years watching Town where I've turned to my Dad and commented how good a referee was. Howard Webb (before he was famous) at Spotland in the 03/04 league 2 season. 6 years later he was refereeing a WC final. They are few and far between!
