You can have your opinions, but just posting about how shite he is on every single thread is tiresome. What the frig has Breitenreiter got to do with Rebecca Welch? Some balance has been welcome imo given the seemingly unquestioned trust and admiration for Andre. Why would you play a guy coming back from long term injury in a key game. Might have been the right decision long term- punish the errant/idle/bad egg player he replaced but don’t prove your point in a massively crucial must win game for the club. I thought it at the time and the post just reminded me of it. You're blaming Turton, but what for? It wasn't a penalty, even on the referee show and numerous punditry dialogues, it was the wrong decision. So what exactly did Turton do wrong?

We get it- you can’t stand other people’s opinions, especially when they are borne out to reflect the truth. Everything I said about Andre has been borne out. He had a dozen games , the players are the biggest issue if you can’t see that fool you . We have a lot of big issues, which are the biggest I am not sure. The player recruitment has been bad for years now. The management recruitment was not any better and AB proved to be the worst of them all apart from Scofield Taking the ramblings of a failed manager attempting to put a positive twist to his abject performance as a true and accurate picture of what the club is like, could be seen as a somewhat narrow perspective. We have a new manager now so let us try to look forward to the coming season.

No easy ride from me. This group could have stayed up with more desire and professionalism and a better manager at the beginning and the end. Ultimately, it wasn’t a good championship squad with players like LOB replaced with Rudoni who is not in the same calibre. That's why I didn't say ALL supporters. SOME seem to be pinning the whole blame on AB**, Not me. But he certainly didn’t help. He shoulders a small portion of blame imo. despite this group only having about 4-6 games-worth (minutes-wise) of decent performances over a whole two seasons. Agreed Jesus, the calls for Worthy to get the job because he got the players "performing"? Yes for 20 minutes against Wendies and 30 mins against Saints, the rest of the time they were just as shit as they were for Moore, Buzz, Schoffer and the rest. Agreed. He was just a better option than bringing in a foreign manager new to British football, in a relegation fight. For me when leaving it so late to sack Moore the only option was to back Worthy until seasons end. If we stayed up - consider keeping him or bring a Duff or even an Andre in at seasons end- depending on which league we were in. Andre was dreadful but he was on a hiding to nothing being asked to do a Warnock great escape. They shouldn't be getting away with only performing (caring?) for stints of 20 minutes at a time for the majority of the past two seasons. ** Absolutely and I personally think Duff is the right man to stop this slide and turn things around. Yes he was shit and bewildering and possibly (probably) not the man for a fire-fighting end of season stint.[ agreed br] Edit: before anyone says I'm a Worthy hater, I love the guy and he was one of my favourite players in the 00s yep top man is Worthy .

Asking for trouble that decision was.

He was rusty as hell in that game and against Brum. Been out over a year. No way I’d have started him in a crucial game. Unfair on the lad. Takes at least 4-6 games to get up to match fitness after so long out. There’s one or two on here that got themselves a bit blindsided by Andre for some reason. I don’t know why. Mutual hatred of the current players seems to be the main unifying factor. Hes gone. He wasn’t loyal to Town so he really doesn’t need any ongoing loyalty from the fans.

I thought we got an apology from the governing body that referees are to answer too. They admitted she got it wrong and what happens if we get her again nest season she certainly will not get a good reception.

It was the way you (and detox too tbf) described the incident "He was rusty. Games moved on with handball. His body position wasn’t great" It SEEMED like you were blaming him or it certainly came across that way. Although you did add in the next sentence that it wasn't a pen. Edit: hope I'm not putting words in Briggus' mouth

Hopefully it will be the last match she ever referees 4th official at Beeston on Thursday night, Jarred Gillett is the referee.......That's one bad double act you wouldn't wish on any team, apart from L33DS.

By saying he was rusty and mentioning his body position bla bla bla is suggesting Turton was to blame, but your half arsed way of saying it wasn’t his fault it was AB s because he shouldn’t of been on pitch because he was rusty. He came on in 95 min did nothing wrong and the whole debacle was the shit referee giving a pen that wasn’t . It’s all bullshit though because you’ve trying to make up some shit about Turton to put blame on AB is obsessive , this thread is about RW yet you and your obsession with AB try to make it about him. He’s gone we don’t give a shit leave threads about other subjects alone and stop getting them back about AB. I just had a look at your posts it’s embarrassing the hatred you’ve got for him , nobody now really gives a shit especially when folk are in threads not about him. Oh also Turton was one of the best players against Birmingham given the circumstances but if it suits your agenda again.

RW will have a couple of non descript games, trying her hardest to not get too involved in major decisions ( must happen at some point a couple of games with low flashpoints) , and she will be highlighted as having cracking performance, oh and then surprise surprise she will be promoted to the higher level games. The agenda is to promote her or any other that fulfills their ideology. Hopefully she never is involved in one of our games ever again. The worst ref I have seen at championship level EVER.

You’re seriously over thinking it all man. Lots of people with strong views. Take em with a pinch of salt. Opinions are like arseholes, we’ve all got one and shit comes out of all of ‘em! It’s been a unpleasant, pretty toxic period as so often the case in a relegation campaign but it’s lingered on. (We won’t go into why), but hopefully now the club and fans can reset and recharge and next year can be a better team and experience all round..

On behalf of football, thank you. 2 of the worst refereeing displays I've seen. Hopefully the next female ref coming through (i think I saw one doing a cup game this season) can actually set a decent standard and be a role model for others coming through. If only some of the crud male ones who we endure could see sense too.

Comes too late for us after her performances last season. The handball being one of the worst decisions you will see which killed any hope of survival.
Appalling referee and if she is training anyone else then I despair.

Fair enough to her for being able to seize on the opportunity given to her and make a decent career out of the relentless ambition to virtue signal but I can't remember a more appalling referee performance than Hull at home and particularly Bristol City away last season. I appreciate that's a small sample to go off but the basic errors and complete lack of understanding of the professional game demonstrated should have seen her shipped off into oblivion not promoted to manage the new talent coming through.

Well, she'll be missed terribly.
Hopefully her new role will consist mainly of showing any prospective future female referees all the errors she made, and how to avoid making the same errors themselves.
If on the other hand she is now the standard bearer for female referees, then I hope we never see another woman reffing in the men's game until she has departed her position.

Trailblazer? Wasn't there another lass who came ito the mens game before her and did a much better job? Can't recall her name but she ran the lines for a couple of years before taking charge of a game... Far from being a trailblazer, Ms Welch set women's officialdom back by about five years. Good to see PGMOL rewarding failure again.

Thank f@ k she has retired , terrible ref. Never left a stadium feeling as cheated as that Bristol game , spoke to a group of city fans on train who genuinely felt sorry that they had been given a point for nothing. An absolute fraud of a ref , would have been out of her depth reffing an under 7s game.
