You mention Hudlin / Jackson and Simpson wow league 2 is too high for all 3 of those. This club needs investment in a squad a major overhaul. There lies the problem. The squad has been left to deteriorate for years. Other clubs sell assets and atleast attempt to reinvest something here and there and build a team over time. We have sold anyone with any value and attempted to con the support by pushing academy players who arnt good enough and free transfers. I still hold Hoyle as the main man responsible for the state of this club. One season, two transfer windows and a foreign chairman with limited knowledge on this league was never going to give us a quick turn around. Whilst Nagle also has to take responsibility, i am actually more optimistic for the future having him at the helm if he can get the right people underneath him. I blame Dean hoyle for keeping us out of the third tier the last 12 years Guilty as charged Dean!!!! 2 years ago next month we were in a playoff final contesting for a place in the Premier league!!! Move on 2 years and the new owner relegates us in his first 12 months in charge..yet its Dean hoyles fault...you couldn't make it up🤣 There's only one person to blame for all this and his Name is Kevin Nagle!!! Worshipping a false prophet who has brought us nothing but misery is ridiculous! Dean was/is one of the good guys

Action plan needs to start with a new manager. League One will not be easy to get out of. Teams in that division will be doing their planning now, so there's no time to lose. Need a manager with suitable experience. Current manager does not know the new division or required players. Effective grafters are needed. Get money in for who can be sold. There has been a losing culture for far too long. Experienced and proven players need signing who can perform the job required of them. Not inspired by the current regime. To throw two managerial names into the ring Grant McCann or even Dean Whitehead. We need someone who gets it.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but having seen Forest whinging about VAR, I realised (not sure why I only realised this now) that in the space of 2 seasons we've gone from 1 game from the PL to potentially 1 game from L1 (and arguably it could have been 1 season, not 2, if it wasn't for Warnock last season).
Absolutely fucking criminal on every level, regardless of who you blame.

Would it be such a bad thing to go down to League One? Yes, I know financially etc it is a big difference. And before people reply with the Sheff Wed and others who have been stuck down there for years before coming back... Well is it such a bad thing if we dont come back? I think I'd rather be a team who is top 10 in a division and is actually getting wins! Does it really matter if it is League One? We got dicked in the prem in our 2nd season. The novelty had well and truly worn off. We haven't been a competitive team in the Championship and are having 1 off season, we've been battling relegation almost all of the time. Maybe, we just compete at a lower level, win more games and start to enjoy watching Town again! Cannot wait, the cowshed will be rocking. Sarcy comment but it would be if we were winning.

Dean was/is one of the good guys It's Phil most at blame with the deals involving the parachute payments and the general lack of squad strengthening. Dean was incredible in his first spell and stepped up reluctantly to stop us going into administration after a certain someone's business went tits up. Nagle also then took over to also save us from administration and has invested into the squad. He took over a club on a downward slide and his only real mistake was hiring and trusting the waste of space called Mark

But we are where we are, I can't see us staying up from our current position and form, so we need to be planning for next season in the third tier. Not sure if AB is the right man for that job- when he was appointed his record looked decent... but I remember also thinking that about DM. We need to get rid of Cartwright and replace him with someone with a record of success... meanwhile Stuart Webber's stock is at an all-time low following his social media fauxs-pas... I'm sure you can see where I'm going with that line of thought.
