Wife's Diary:
Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner.
I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it.
Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much.
I asked him what was wrong. He said, "nothing."
I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset.
He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.
On the way home, I told him that I loved him.
He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can't explain his behaviour. I don't know why he didn't say, “I love you, too.”
When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent.
Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep; I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.
Husband's Diary:
Who the fuck concedes 4 goals at home against swansea ( and others)

Had a night out on saturday at a friends, had a large curry and many and various spanish, belgian etc lagers and the game was verboten conversation. Played some ridiculously old boxing video games and some interactive new board games that are very hard and hilarious as you get more alcohol down you. I get Huddersfield Town out of my system far, far quicker than when I was younger. One of mine had some tears as a youngster after the Birmingham relegation, he has resigned himself to it this season without any fuss at all. We havent lost our mojo, Town and football in general have.

We've conceded 4 or more goals ten times this season. Ten! Let that sink in. Even when we were stinking out the Premier League, we weren't letting in 4 or 5 every week. This season we've been shocking and in all honesty deserve to go down.

This is something that's been coming for a long time. Hopefully Kev has been balls deep in plans to get the best out of our league one team next year, and the plans are put into action as soon as relegation is confirmed (probably this Saturday).

Once they cross the white line they've got to grow a set. We've nobody that will stand up on the pitch and actually organise, lead and galvanise the team, it's been the same for quite a while now and still not been addressed. We concede and more often than not we fold, heads go down and nobody is trying to get them back up again.

I'm properly heartened to hear of a fan having a healthy relationship with the club, and able to have what sounds like a great time with mates so soon after the game. A lot of us can't cope as well! I consider myself quite in tune and able to cope with my mental health generally, but Town still wield the power to ruin my weekends. Something to work on!

I’ve seen us relegated 4 times. 87/88 we were gash, at least on a par with this season but probably worse. That’s before you factor in the 10-1. 2001 felt like a real body blow, I’ll probably carry a little bit of that one around with me forever. The drop to League 2 thereafter hardly registers. Relegation from the PL felt like a godsend at the time. This one I’ve got my head around. We’ve been woeful on so many levels on and off the field for so long, it was almost inevitable. Those responsible should hang their heads in shame.

My only release was listening to the World Service... especially the football scores on a Saturday. I sort of heard the result through the crackle and thought it was Town 2-1 Birmingham. Imagine my surprise a week later back in Kathmandu when reading the Kathmandu Post that we'd been relegated due to the unbelievable set of results on the last day.

I do admit to have watched Town for 56 years, sometimes more off than on due to my 'career', but I have borne the slings and arrows of outrageous footballers and owners for over half a century. I now take it seriously because it does matter to me and mine but not that seriously. Im working up the required enthusiasm for Stevenage away on a wet Tuesday night, hopefully it will come to me. UTT..The club carries on.

One reason most of us miss Oti; whether you believed his tales or not (I personally did, mainly from other posters knowing him IRL) they were VERY entertaining. And even when he was being "controversial" he at least tried to explain his takes on subjects.

If you let your life and mood be governed by football results it must be bad for your health, especially your mental health and I mean that literally. As much as we care it is just a game of football.

No head on the beer.🫢 Aah stevenage A coach full of us watched the 2012 playoff final there due to being stuck in traffic Just to add, I have been to many desperate matches in the rain on Tuesday nights over the decades. The first one that truly springs to mind is the 6 0 defeat at Swindon. Rained going, during and coming back from. The other was a cup game at Gillingham. Never saw the game due to the fog but they played all 90 minutes of it, I assume. It apparently was a 0 0 draw, but nobody in the crowd could swear to it. The journey back for the first 80 to 100 miles was just driving, carefully, into fog, worst I have ever driven in, in this country. I have good memories of the mates and the laughs, but going back isnt going to be the same.

Dont even think about how quickly those 4 or more goals were scored. Inside 45 minutes, often quicker.. Lack of proffessionalism is obvious, has been on and off for 2 seasons.. We concede and more often than not we fold, heads go down and nobody is trying to get them back up again. We’ve got a squad full of players who lack in ability at this level but even worse are totally lacking in professional pride. You’re absolutely dead right they should be showing leadership on the field. Even those who you’d have thought would be leaders on the pitch (Pearson / Lees) have given up. When you think back to the 2017 or the League 2 promotion team and the likeable, determined, professional, characters we had in those teams you could cry when you compare them to this set of wankers.

He picked the Monday of West Ham v Town match at the very beginning of the PL season (we lost 2-0). When I returned the monitor, all was fine, but the doc asked what on earth I was doing between 1930 and 2130 hours.

Two explanations: I was fighting an escaped Tiger that was attacking a group of small children. I was butt naked and having intimate relations with many beautiful women. Both more plausible than I was listening or watching Town lose two nil away from home, hell thats something that happens twice in a week quite often, your bp should be quite used to it by now🤔
