I’m looking forward to; 1.Never seeing Burgzorg wear the shirt again 2. Selling Sorba Thomas to a club that doesn’t realize that for all his skill, he’s clearly a dickhead, whining, team killing mercenary 3 seeing how all our ‘not a championship player’ players do in the correct division 4. No longer paying for Yuta Nakayama to warm a sofa in his house on all his injuries 5. Giving Tom Edwards back to stoke 6. Potentially Winning games Not looking forward to; 1. Helik, Nicholls, Spencer and Rudoni probably deserving a move 2. Potentially not winning games and being stuck in league 1 for ten years. Theres only helik deserving of one imho. Nicholls had a mediocre season, spencer only at this level for a couple of months or so and rudoni delivers little wk in wk out despite having talent and effort.

I’ve seen all three teams coming up from L2 this season (Stockport, Wrexham, Mansfield) and based on what I’ve seen I’d expect even this spineless embarrassment of a HTAFC to beat them. The main thing going for all three of them is that they’ve got PROVEN top end lower league strikers who have played out most of their careers at that level and have delivered season after season. Other than that they’re nothing special at all.
Maybe Town need to consider someone like Madden at Stockport or old boy Mullin at Wrexham, though whether they’d see Town as a step up nowadays is another matter. Maybe Langstaff at Notts County?
The fact that I’m even mentioning players like the above shows just how far this club has fallen. Shameful mismanagement and lack of planning and ambition throughout for many years.

We need to get back to a core of passionate fanatical fans. There were more fans there for the L666s game than they did today when it really mattered. Just goes to show what some see as priority. Yeah, it'd be great to get back to crowds of 14000. 🙄 It would, given there’s probably been 12000 at best in attendance for many games.

Sure Nicholls had a bad season, but he’s championship keeper, no doubt about it tor me. Spencer and Rudoni are talented young footballers and you would be foolish not to buy them even if they’re not immediate first teamers. I think there will be offers on the four of them.

I can't see our football getting any worse and the opposition should come down to near our level, I hope.

Don't like doing a doom monger but I can see us going straight down again
Unlikely to get rid of a good chunk of players we need to
Manager still unproven
Gonna take a lot to reverse the win rate/mentality we currently have
Some good teams in L1

I'm clinging to the hope that Healey and Radulovic will be the best finishers League One has ever seen.
30 goals each

Can’t wait to see 200 Exeter fans going mental on the opening day as they clinch a 2-0 win infront of a 9000 crowd. The good old days are back!

I'm looking forward to not having to mess about looking for a link to watch the Town match most weeks since they probably won't be showing many of our matches in league 1!!!!

Don't like doing a doom monger but I can see us going straight down again As can I, but only in thr sense that there are so many unknowns between now & opening day of the 24/25 season.Unlikely to get rid of a good chunk of players we need to I'd agree with that. Our better players are likely to leave & hopefully that will fund some better recruits, but we've got some dross who will still be under contract next season, and shifting them won't be easy.Manager still unproven We don't know whether he's staying yet! Although, if we replace him with another Darren Moore (or worse, since our stock has fallen since then!) that would be worrying. My hope is that AB stays, because unless we're poaching somebody already in a job, we're looking at either an uninspiring selection of out of work managers, or a similarly unproven foreign manager.Gonna take a lot to reverse the win rate/mentality we currently have This is the big one for me. We don't just need good players, we need big characters and leaders. Now, if we could just sign a player with the ability of Aaron Mooy & the leadership skills of Peter Clarke..Some good teams in L1 Agreed. Looking at the sides competing in the playoffs this time I wouldn't fancy us against any of them. Charlton have underachieved this season, I'd expect the Angry Welsh Goblin to push them into the promotion picture. Whoever gets that 3rd relegation spot (whether Brum, Blackburn or Plymouth) will have good cause to be optimistic for a promotion push next time too.Although, I'd caveat the above with the note that I think we're more likely to come straight back up than drop straight through. The next few months will be interesting. Whether that's interesting in a good way or a bad way I don't know.

I’m looking forward to being one of the ‘bigger’ teams with a higher budget for a change. Hopefully seeing a complete revamp of our squad, and having new players we can all get behind. If we make the correct squad changes, having a season pushing for promotion. It’s been an absolute mental drain this last couple of years. Obviously all of the above only applies if Kevin Nagle gets it right this summer. Feel it’s probably make or break for him to make the impact he wants. If he gets it right, we could start thinking about promotions and bringing positivity back amongst the supporters. If he gets it wrong we could be down there for a while. Not sure we're one of the bigger teams. We're one of a number of similar size clubs Town Charlton Bolton Barnsley Brum/Plymouth Reading Wigan Wrexham (sadly they now are) Absolutely none of those are bigger than Town.

Embarrassed to be a Town fan.
If we are not in to win the league next year we may aswell give up. League one is shocking.
Need to follow the Ipswich model….

Where did I say they were? I said all similar sized clubs. Maybe wrong to include Wigan but they've spent more time than us in recent years at the top table plus an FA Cup win that wasn't a million years ago

We need to get back to a core of passionate fanatical fans. There were more fans there for the L666s game than they did today when it really mattered. Just goes to show what some see as priority. Don't think it's a case of priority, I think it's a case of last week was the final straw, with the way we capitulated against a bang average midtable team in the last 20mins to end up with another thrashing. If we'd have won that game, more would have been there today. If we'd have drawn that game, more would have been there today. If we'd have lost after playing really well and just been unlucky, more would have been there today. It was the WAY we lost last week that was the final straw for people, and why a lot decided to sack it off and stay at home, because they didn't see a team last weekend that represented them in the way they should have done, with fight, battle, determination, heart, desire. It's horrible when we lose, but at least if you see those qualities in your team and you're just beaten by the better team despite that, you can.....tolerate it a bit more, because you think there's something there, something to hold on to, something to be positive about, that on another day against another team, that same performance might bring you a win. There was NOTHING last week to suggest we were going to see a performance today with any of those qualities. We did at times today, but glimpses of those qualities here and there every few games will end up leading to the situation we find ourselves in. Either way, I'll be there next season. Seen us drop from the Championship to League 2 and all the way back up to the PL, and now down to L1. But I can't do anything but stick with them, as shit as we've been for the majority of the last decade.

I can't think of anything positive about being relegated. And I don't think next season will be the walk in the park some think it will. Dead right. There are way better teams than Town in League one. I think some people are in for a rude awakening.

Why do the rest of us fairweather fans get in the way of better, passionate fans such as yourself? Is it perhaps our deathly silence that stops you superior, passionate fans singing as soon as we have gone a goal down? I apologise on behalf of the lukewarm and fickle fans if that's the case. 🤪

I honestly think Rotherham were comfortably the worst team in the division, other than them though, quality wise, any 2 of 9 other teams could have joined them, we deserve to be one of those teams because we haven't got enough points, but we've had very little luck either.
Not sure why people are suddenly thinking Division 3 is full of superb football teams, just think about it, we mostly agreed that Jordan Rhodes wasn't the answer to our goal scoring issues, yet he scored a shed load of goals for Blackpool before he got injured. Obviously, without knowing who will stay, we have plenty of players who are already League 1 standard, with 3 or 4 additions of players who are top end Div 3 players, bought from the inevitable sales of some players, there is really no excuse for not challenging play offs at least.
