Just watched the Evans highlights. Nearly all His goals are from outside the box. Let’s have it!!! With him and Kane we now have two players capable of scoring from distance and also from direct free kicks…very welcome attributes.Fact they can also pickup plenty assists it looks so much better already. Suggestions we’ll pickup a striker on loan,I’d also be looking at another midfielder maybe from the loan market maybe a more defensive minded one.Left sided centre half on top and think we’re set.Obviously if anyone goes we look to replace

Absolutely delighted with the signings we've made, maybe more to come. Great work from Town. Players may want to stick around seeing whats happening. Really optimistic about this season, we are putting together a strong squad. Forget all the Brum talk and past negativity don't lose sight of this is a reset. Onwards and upwards. UTT

Absolutely loving the club at the moment. Considering we’ve just been relegated, I can’t remember a more positive summer (bar prem 1st season?). Not just in recruitment but throughout the whole club, from online interface to new graphic design elements. The foundations seem solid at the moment and I’m starting to feel the pride seep in again. Obviously there's still lots of recruitment to do, and lots of hard graft to put in, but its pleasantly weird to feel so excited and optimistic about the future.

Very good signings to date - all proven quality at League One and all at a good age
I think we need a striker still and obviously would have had May but for Brum. So I expect money is left if the right striker is available
After that I think we need to trade players out. If we don't we have on paper a very capable L1 side ad if say Helik, Nicholls and others go I think there'll be money to get a good replacement
Very hard season ahead but we're going about early preseason to give us the best chance of getting promoted

Very pleased with our work so far!
Add a young pacey talented striker on loan from a Prem team and a natural left-sided centre half and we have a strong squad for sure.
The biggest part of the window now is for us to keep the players that we have. Whilst squad looks good, if we do lose any quality players like Helik or Spencer for example, then they will need replaced.
Exciting!

UTT Couldn't agree more, and you feel from all of the players signed, they will all add some much needed flair to the squad. It's something we've been seriously lacking, barring patches from Sorba.

UTT Exactly. We have success when the whole club, not just players, are pulling the same positive direction - success needs to eb across all areas and it feels positive right now which is bloody brilliant

Still plenty of incomings & outgoings to come. Atleast a CB & striker in. Would be very surprised if Helik & Thomas are here come the end of the window.

Ball playing midfielder ✔️ Proper wingbacks ✔️ Goalscoring attacking midfielder ✔️ Set-piece specialist ✔️ Good age ✔️ Proven quality at this level ✔️
4 players that seem to fit the criteria of areas we needed to improve, Evans and Sorensen won player of the year at their clubs, Sorensen got in the team of the season aswell, Kane won player of the month in December and is proven quality at this level, Miller has two promotions from league 1 and played a big part in Plymouth staying in the championship. All for under £1m.
Still work to do, but we're definitely heading in the right direction.

I suppose for Helik, it would have to be a huge offer for town to even come to the table. The money that comes in you would think, would allow for even more signings and maybe even players we currently are thinking are a little out of reach due, to squad balance/ finincal compliance issues. We shouldn't be scared to let players go, as this year we need players who are 100% on board , but getting a good value for them is also important. Good sigings so far and a good sale value for Rudoni.

Less than a week since everyone shit the bed because Brum spunked stupid money on Alfie May.... how the mood can change with a few well planned signings.

Probably not needed now with the signing of Miller, but if Town were looking for further options at left wing back, I’d look to take advantage of Crawley’s fire sale and get Harry Forster in. From what I’ve seen of him he’s looked good mainly on the left and more advanced than Miller. He can also play wide right and midfield.

I like the team now. I'd be happy using the money we were going to spend on Alfie on trying to keep this squad as it is.
(Still undecided on Thomas though, think it's probably best for all if he leaves)

I'm sure some championship clubs will come calling for him.

Ward - injury prone and shite Healey - injury prone Bojan - meh? A lot of money spent for one good goal at Stoke, we need more from me Harratt - probably be nicked for stealing copper pipes in October Hudlin & Simpson - league 2 at best

(Still undecided on Thomas though, think it's probably best for all if he leaves) Main reasons I’d be happy for Thomas to leave: He doesn’t really fit in to a 352 (he isn’t a striker) There is talk about him not being great around the squad (the Lees thing etc) But mainly if playing without wingers he is surplus to requirements. If let him, Koroma, High leave for starters.

I hope he proves me wrong but if we can get shut I would and get someone more suited to the physical nature of L1 Harratt - it's one problem after another. 22 now so not a kid. Would get rid if we can Hudlin and Simpson - agree get rid if we can. Both been on loan in League 1 last year and not stood out Phillips as well isn't at the standard I think we'll play 2 strikers so Healy plus another new signing. Then look to move on (easier said that done) all of Ward, Bojan, Harratt, Hudlin, Simpson and Phillips. Losing those six would gives space to get in a couple more attackers for competition etc while balancing the books

Hopefully Healey stays fit,the rest I don’t imagine they’ll be relied on tbh.bring another in which it sounds like we’re looking to.prem loan or I do wonder if it could be a loan from championship for a fringe player….we were linked all last year will gelhardt,he only played 10 times and guess not many were starts.Think he could be relied on more than a young lads who has played no senior football.
