12 goals in 91 professional appearances is hardly inspiring.

We need Kasumu and think in league 1 he will be fine. Any money we spend now needs to be spent on the front five . It will be there where we pick up extra points. It’s where we lack quality. A striker and a Sorba replacement. That’s the two I think Nagle was referring too. Not sure players who struggle to pass 5 yards are going to be that critical if we are aiming to go up. I know there’s plenty that think Kasumu is a decent player, don’t see it myself. Think he’s absolutely dreadful. That’s what worries me. It’s look like a lot of these players with no technical quality are going to form the core of our team.

Kion Etete - would be intersting , as he would add that physcaility to the front line. Also has some pace about him. Has raw abilities that , we could work with. Seems to have had a loan at cheltenham at one point, was Duff there then ?

What's going on with Bojan?
The club still haven't said anything.
Even Sorba was in Austria and he looks like he is on his way.
Chicken said he had a knock, but that seems like a minor injury, and surely not a reason to be left behind.

Whether there’s anything in that or not anyone’s guess. 6 foot 6 and pretty quick, seems more a target man type though than a goalscorer. If it was true and did happen I’d be wanting another one in tbh…hard to come by,might be worth a loan such as Callum Marshall at West Ham.

Kasumu certainly divides opinion.
The midfield lacks pace. He has pace. Maybe with a bit more confidence and some better COACHING we may see more out of him.
Still think we will only sign a couple of forward players. Unless anybody else leave.
Sorba - personally I think it’s all agents spin at the moment. I see no benefit in a loan and maybe that’s them trying it on. Who knows.

The only benefits to a loan would be twofold…it gets a wantaway player out of the squad and frees up a space and would surely have to be loan to buy.

If he says we are signing 2 cf's it means , that he has spoken to Cartwright etc and thats what we are going to do.

Etete was on Cardiff's tour to Austria but was no where on the team sheet in their last game against Hertha

A) he could help bring the best out of Healey , as a parter / target man ? B) Alfie May's goalscoring record , was poor at best until Duff got hold of him ?

Would most definitely be one for the first point.2 up top you’d ideally want one with presence and pace which he seems to have.

6 goals in 31 games at our level though, and when younger and more raw.
The Cardiff stats skew everything.
Might be a good option and if he's better than Tyreece then the squad is improved.

id take etete as we need a taller and physical striker up front. however i’m not sure if he’s pacey and that’s something we are missing at the minute

Although it’s not really transfer related……. Kasumu, should be great in rotation with Hogg sitting this season, I am sure the passes will look better with better movement around him and more simple passes to the new midfielders, confidence is a massive part of this and playing in a team that is hopefully winning more and playing with a more attacking intent should help. Many on here seem to think we are still in the championship and if we were still in the Championship then we would need better starting every week. But in L1 players like Kasumu can really stand out and help the team, his driving runs from midfield and energy is something we will need this season in order to be successful. We need to stop judging players on previous struggling seasons in the championship and let them all have a fresh start in L1, we can’t expect to just have a completely new 11 and we also do not need it a couple more additions and I see no reason why we are not challenging for promotion this season. I don't know what the quality of league 1 will be like but if we're rotating Hogg & Kasumu as our midfield focal point then lets hope the standard is pretty shit. Kasumu will bring some energy but no quality - not sure what Hogg will bring other than some experience of losing and lots of misplaced simple passes followed by a bollocking to whoever should have been where he passed it. Wow, each to their own but, you will struggle to find a club with 2 better DCM in there squads in L1 than we have in Kasumu and Hogg, if Hogg can keep the little annoying injuries at bay this season he will yet again be one of the first names on the team sheet, yes he is getting older but he still has lots of quality’s any successful team needs, it’s no coincidence that every manager we have had wants him involved (and that’s a lot of managers!) he really is not as bad on the ball as people make out just needs good footballers around him to give it easy to, last two seasons he has needed to try to hard to offer more because we were a poor side in a very good league. L1 is not easy but we have quality in the squad in every position with more to come. Kasumu is a much better player than many seem to think he just needs confidence and playing in a good team winning games and will be a big assest. The main priority must be a fast powerful striker anything else we get should be replacements for any that leave in my opinion. I can still see, Sorba, Koroma, Helik, Nicholls leaving and all will need replacing in some way if they do.

The amount of shit Nagle gets on here astounds me. He has already done more for the club then Hoyle did in his first year. Differing opinions I get that. But give the man a chance.
