It was a question for the end of season diaries, it was asked but maybe not in the best manner to KNs defence (not DCs fault as such either). He has been asked multiple times on Twitter by the looks and DC said he would get an answer which hopefully he can. But a full season into ownership it would be good to know how Kev is funding the club and if it’s loans with interest what the interest is.
Before those says what’s it got to do with us, everything really if it’s high % interest and he wants those loans back in a few years we could be in a bad way.

Jeez it is his business how he funds and spends his brass But it’s not that is it. Nobody is asking how much money he has. It’s if and when he chooses to sell the club are we going to have massive debts owed to him?

It's pretty normal to put all owners spends as htafc debts.DH did it and KN will do it.
It's ultimately what the asking price is upon sale.
Some charge interest, others don't (like DH). Depending on the state the club is in upon any sale, depends how much of your spends you get back. DH got sod all because htafc had been trashed. KN might do better.
Don't see why anyone would keep haranguing KN about this tbh.

People with real money rarely use their own money. They loan/borrow/debt to increase wealth. And it’s none of our business to be honest.

Yeah exactly that difference is DH let them go as he’s a town fan. Might be very different to somebody who although a fan now wasn’t before.

So if it's on the books as a loan (with low interest or no interest) would you urge that he spent nothing and only used club raised revenue? What's your point?

How does any owner fund a club? Jesus christ these threads are embarrassing.
Give the bloke a break for fuck sake otherwise we might end up with a used car salesman without a pot to piss in as our next owner. Or even worse, another Ken Davy giving the manager a mighty war chest of £75k to spend.

It’s not a charity despite popular opinion. If he makes his money back we all win because we will be back in the premier league. The money being pumped in will be interest free loans from him and when he sells it he’ll want it back just like Hoyle did. “Give us cheap season tickets please but don’t ever ask for your investment back mr chairman”

I think he did answer the question in an answer to a question he was asked recently, but only half of what you want to know.
I can't remember where or when the question was asked, but he was asked about the club funding and it was either badly worded or he didn't understand all of the question. He was asked whether the club was being funded by loans and he answered that no, he was using his own money. So it's not a commercial loan, but it doesn't answer whether it's a directors loan in a similar way that DH funded the club, or a cash injection.
As far as I know, in League One FFP allows cash injections to increase the turnover to allow a club to spend more. But loans are not included in turnover.

Well, with all due respect, even if your question is well meaning, it's really got nothing to do with us.
And if we did know that, we'd need to delve into the minute details of all the rest of the financials. No doubt many of us would start whinging about something in them, asking KN questions as if we're financial experts, just to satisfy our curiousity. Let's keep to football questions.

Irrespective of any interest, KN is going to pump millions in. The only question is, do you want him to?

Could ask the same question of probably any owner of any sports club on the planet. They don't have to tell us, it's more 'like to know' than 'need to know'.

When someone comes to sell a football club it is only worth what anyone else will pay for it.
If like we are told Dean was owed £40 he could get only so much for the club, he had choices:- 1) Accept the money offered and write of the debt 2) Don't accept the offer and continue funding the club (probably leading to more debt) 3) Try to sell off any assets, the ground the players, not likely to raise much money. The ground is worthless without a football club (not anymore with a Rugby League club riding piggyback on the ground).
At the end of the day any owner would have to get what they can get and right off any debts or pass on the debts and take any money they can get if the club is worth more than the debt.
My guess is that unless we end up in the Premiership and the owner stops himself from doing a Dean and blowing his brains out in the transfer market will be the only way he will get his money back (and possibly a profit).

Unless you are a card-carrying finance pervert, this question of loan interest is pretty much a red herring.
Firstly: KN is currently having to subsidise eight figure losses each season (beyond whatever CAPEX projects he is funding). Every hypothetical pound he were to charge on these loans would require another hypothetical pound from his other pocket to cover the additional loss incurred.
Secondly: While loan interest factors into FFP (Profit & Loss based) in the Championship, it is outside of the scope of SCMP in League One, which is more narrowly (and appropriately IMO) focused on the relationship between income and player expenses.
As has been pointed out on several occasions already in this thread, the only possibility for KN to see this money again is by overseeing a seismic transformation in commercial and sporting performance.

Personally, having watched since 64, I have nothing but respect for him and the amount of money he invested. See previous managers, Shankly couldn't even get a few bob for Yeats and St John! How much would a director have got back if they's stuck with him? Instead, easy option, sell Law for a record fee, and a quick buck!

Isn’t it a good question? Clubs have gone to the wall because owners have lost interest and demanded their money back with interest. Probably a good thing to know in the current climate

As season ticket holders are partly funding the club why don’t you ask KN to produce a list of all those who have renewed and how much they paid, that will give you part of your answer.
