Had many town tops, never been able to bring myself to dispose of this one. I’m in the ‘Red and black stripes for away top’ camp… The Mitre one the following year was an exact copy as far as i can recall. And we had the 'third strip' Millenium navy blue which for me is the best Town change kit ever. and you might also be very lucky with the other kit mentioned above...........

And look how much better the badge looks without the shield (most important part of the kit)….doubt they’ll change it though will they as it cheaper to manufacture with the shield no doubt…) I agree - Newcastle United seem to have managed to find a way for their shirt manufacturers to apply their complicated onto their shirt without having to add another shield around it.

I don't think it looks bad at all. Certainly better than the 'Terriers' badge a few years back.

No problem with Umbro at all, I really liked this seasons home kit (although I'd have preferred black numbering/lettering). I wouldn't be against Nike or (preferably) Adidas, but if we are to change, I think I'd like Hummel, New Balance, or even reverting back to Puma. Puma make absolutely horrid kits. I don’t want to go back to those. As somebody else has said Nike and Adidas just use templates for everybody bar the world’s biggest teams. Plus I think they use a middle man company (sports wear or something) to actually produce the kits. I’ve always like Hummel and would like to see those do a Town kit. Even Macron as I believe they make the kits unique. Our kits with Umbro seem to be unique too unless there are some others with same kit. But I don’t recall seeing anybody else

Unfortunately it’s more to do with my growing gut rather than style

On the Michael Duff announcement you can see the Magic Rock logo on his left shoulder, could this be a clue to them being a more prominent sponsor next season?

Had many town tops, never been able to bring myself to dispose of this one. I’m in the ‘Red and black stripes for away top’ camp… I still love the 87/88 kits both home and away. The thin blue and white stripes on the home shirt were original and a nice change from the usual thicker stripes. And the yellow and black square bumblebee/bruised banana away strip was a classic love it or hate it type of style!!

Just covering the bases, so when it's released, if any of them hit then he can make out that hes ITK... I really liked this years home kit, and i'm gutted it was one we wore when relegated. As for the away kit, I've always liked the black and red stripes

I remember listening on the radio.Probably the most memorable match of my early days as a supporter along with the home match the following season against the Clough's Notts Forest when we drew 1-1 at their ground and 3-3 at ours and we lost on goal difference (after extra time I think) and they went on to lift the cup.

They're just... boring. Although I do think there should be a rule. Home shirt always the same (and for 2 seasons before a change). Always a direct contrast with home for the primary away shirt. Then something lurid, horrible, and likely to be cult for the third shirt - bright, horrible pink, or purple and green (hi Bristol City) or orange and black or... you get the gist.

Yeah, I think for the away shirt they should swap to white and blue stripes instead of blue and white. Dropping the facetious I completely agree with your post, love it when the third strip is one that splits opinion between love and hate, I've had ALL the garish ones we've released. Being a weirdo contrary type of guy I always seem to go against popular opinion when it comes to fashion, etc. The away strip should always (IMO) be a combination of black and red, direct contrast to blue and white like you say.
