I’d prefer Alfie May (ex Cheltenham, now Charlton). Duff will know him. I think a small, Jack in the box striker like him could work well with Healey.

Watching Healey, I would think that he would be the poacher, jack-in-the-box player and we would need a more physical, taller player to go alongside him. However, would love May here - I think he's quality.

On a free transfer he would be a good signing.
We’d have to ship both Rhodes and Ward out though surely if he was to come. Healey, Bojan and Cole…
I’d prefer to sign Jordan Williams, Herbie Kane and Luca Connell from Barnsley.

We wouldn't need to ship Rhodes out, he's out of contract.

If they are it would be because no one else would take them.

Me too but who's gonna take Ward unless we offer to subsidise some of his (allegedly) vast (for this level) wages? (Thanks for that Colin) JR's contract is up so if he's still here then Cartwright needs slapping if he's the one handing out contracts. Unless all our current strikers leave or get crocked we shouldn't be re-signing JR, we need to look to the future and although he scored 15 in 19 last season for Blackpool I personally think it'll be one injury too far, even for League 1.

No idea if true but OP not a regular poster and when they have posted decent amount (not all) has come true. So that clears that up right?

He’s a terrible player.
Would 100 per cent be behind Ward, Bojan, Healey.
Probably on a par with Harrett.

We need a few experienced heads (Hogg included) in what will probably be a younger aged starting eleven.

The rest of the time he moved around a bit for us, but he never earned his keep. If we are playing someone up top for us they have to get us some goals, I admit in a squad where we kept selling anyone off who could get the ball up to him we made it difficult. He will be 34 shortly.

And we can't afford him to be injured and unavailable as our top earner. If he's here, he has to be fit. If he isn't going to be fit enough, we need to look to offload.

He's more than happy to sit on the bench, or sit at home and pick up his glorious salary. He's not good enough to take us back to the Championship. Healey, Bojan & another reinforcement or 2 is what's required.

Seeing posts about him being a "terrible player" and similar on the transfer thread about Jonson Clarke Harris, but come the end of next season I doubt we will have a striker who has scored more goals than either of these 2

If Healy stays and stays fit he will score more than them two combined

a strikeforce of Healey, Bojan, Ward, Cole, Koroma would be the strongest by someway in L1, If Danny Ward was fully fit for the season he would get double figures in L1
