Town signing somebody for their ability to score penalties is about as pointless as Darren Moore signing a player for their ability to pass a ball forwards. Theoretically useful in a footballer but never a skill that's going to be of use at that club. Says supporter of club that went from L2 to Premier League entirely on its ability to score penalties Touché

I can't believe Sir Neil gave him a two year contract and (allegedly) made him our highest paid player. We're gonna have a job on getting him off the books IMO Another awful decision from NW. We will struggle to offload Danny Ward. He's more than happy to sit on the bench, or sit at home and pick up his glorious salary. He's not good enough to take us back to the Championship. Healey, Bojan & another reinforcement or 2 is what's required. Wouldn't surprise me if NW sorted it as a "thank you mate" to DW for his efforts at Cardiff and last season's rescue, him thinking a loaded Yank has taken over, he won't know any better. Total speculation, but would not surprise me, if.

Wasn't it Warnock who went to put a player on in the 90th minute (at another club) and said "I'm having half your appearance fee" and then, when the player informed him his contract didn't include appearance fees, sat him back down?

a strikeforce of Healey, Bojan, Ward, Cole, Koroma would be the strongest by someway in L1, If Danny Ward was fully fit for the season he would get double figures in L1 When was Danny Ward was fully fit for a season? 47 appearances in all competitions 2021/22.

I'm no Ward hater, but days like Watford have been far too infrequent for him over the last couple of seasons. I'm sure his Championship days are done, but I think he will have something to offer us next season.

That's a good move for him but if Barnsley fans are correct he won't see much playing time at that level

Fair to say he has a cracking agent. One last crack at the Championship. Good luck to him.

The 'Barnsley Fan' is mistaken in any case - he's been with Fifteen Eleven for years (as has Thomas-Asante, interestingly enough...) https://www.instagram.com/p/C-GVjRvITVw

Carlos can't be happy with this recruitment He's already tried to jump ship once, but West Brom were having none of it. I'm sure his dummy will be spat out again soon enough.

How many clubs don't have a clause for a manager up and quitting, then miraculously getting a high profile job months later? All seemed a bit dubious at the time and nothing since has changed my mind about the snake.
