Including when Hudlin played... I've never seen a worse player here in 20-odd years. Absolutely dreadful. Can i throw Gary Harkins into the mix ? or even Dean sonic Heffernan ? They weren't worse than Hudlin. Hudlin looks like he shouldn't be on a football pitch. Heffernan is probably the fastest Town player I've ever seen, famously signed by Lee Clark after seeing him on a DVD. Shame he was rubbish.

But then again if that was all it was, then that just says where we have being at .

Kyle Hudlin, Richard Keogh, Richard Stearman, Frazier Campbell, Herbert Bockhorn, Rolando Aarons, Joel Pereira, Yaya Sanogo, Mipo Odubeko, Luke Mbete, Anthony Knockaert, Martyn Waghorn, Matt Lowton, Connor Mahoney, Will Boyle, David Kasumu, Tyreece Simpson. And that's just off the top of my head. Joel "The Hologram" Pereira, Matt Lowton, Luke Mbete & Connor Mahoney should be in a separate section of their own. They weren't just shite. They were the sort of shite that gives shite a bad name. Nobody on that list comes close to tucker.... If you know you know.

'No one will leave unless the asking price is met', well as we saw with LOB & Toff if a player wants to leave for a higher league then you are hardly going to keep him in the squad when his heart is set on moving away (with a bit of agent interference)...........Our valuations of players wanting out will have to be realistic to attract more than one buyer & not another Forest situation (which resembled more like a ransom deal).

Hogg can still do a job at this level but will he still be the captain. Given that duff said he had spoken to him and referred to him as the captain I’d be amazed if he’s not got another year. Personally I hope that’s club captain and not on the pitch. There is room to keep characters like hoggy around but the reset should mean he’s used from the bench to rest others legs and in that god awful pizza cup again for the same reason.

Different owner, different situation. With those two it seemed as though Forest were the only club in the running, which doesn’t help with negotiation. You can’t get a bidding war going with one club. We did alright with Grant and Billing.

There are no words to describe quite what that looked like!

Unpopular as this opinion will be but i'd be tempted to offer a year to Jordan Rhodes, I still think he will score goals in league 1, was good for Blackpool before getting injured. A decent pre season behind him and he is still capable of at least 10-15 goals. If he is not with us I would guess he will go to another league 1 team as can't see him going to a championship team and I'd rather his 10-15 goals be for us than a rival Rhodes is on the released list

PNE gave us two cf's that season, 1 terrible and 1 well the rest is history.
We honestly do sign a lot of players , that you think when you watch them, who thought that was a good idea kinda of thing. Also when we are in a difficult spot, we seem to compound it by signing even worse players. I am just hoping this summer is the start of better more conistent good signings.

For every Josh Koroma & Sorba Thomas plucked from non league there will also be plenty of Kyle Hudlin's, Tom Denton's and the wrong brother from Emley that we sign.
Low cost options that are worth a small punt.
Problem with Hudlin was he should never have been anywhere near the first team squad these past 2 seasons.

Oh definitely.but to keep match sharpe(can’t decide on the correct spelling, school was a while back) and to guide the young lads might be worth him playing in them even if we go out and it’s just the 3 or however many

Have you asked me four times already? No. We're not having a conversation face to face so there's no need to get agitated. I don't know how to install a new radiator, but that won't stop me from relying on the professional whose job it is to replace it. If the plumber does a poor job on the replacement, that's a poor piece of installation rather than the wrong decision to install a new radiator. I'd suggest that one of Barnsley's centre midfielders (Connell, Kane) would be an improvement, and I'm sure there are literally dozens more out there that we should be able to get for a similar or lower wage now we're in League One. Plumber might come in and say the current radiator is still good for the next 12 months. 🤪 Not a chance a plumber says that!

I don't disagree, but Hudlin is way head and shoulders above them. How he ever got a gig at Championship level will be one of life's great mysteries. Fixed it for you.

Let's look at Hogg another way - if he'd been at Birmingham 10 years and was on the market, would we want to sign him? Highly doubt it and the midfield is the weakest area of our squad currently. So why would we re-sign him? It's time for a re-set, no room for sentiment. He's been a brilliant player for us, was a key part of the promotion team and deserved a proper send off with a standing ovation from the fans. But he's not what we need going forward, so let's move on and at least give him a great send off online and in the media. I ask for the fifth time Who are we replacing him with to give us better option? How many centre mids we have signed have been better than him in last 10 years aside Mooy? Nil responses to date Why are you confident that changes now or we don’t weaken the squad You say surely we should find the new Hogg - 100% agree not just now, 3 years ago. Failed. Why any different now? Hardly any - and if they were then they probably weren't much better. And that's one of the many reasons we are where we are IMO - a team consistently built around a whole-hearted but very, very limited player.

I'd like to see Helik given the captaincy, unless we sign an obvious leader. A carrot to persuade him to give us one season to get out of L1.

If we could keep Balker fit, keep Helik and have spencer and Headley as our lg1 back 4, I think we have an attacking, quick, defence to work forward from. We may be able to play further up the pitch, which would be novel. Helik has to be our first 'summer deal' for me.

If he was genuinely worse than any of those listed though then he must have been bad.

Hopefully he goes out on a full season loan at League 2. He'll be 24 in October. Needs a full season of matches this coming season. Nichols & Maxwell, with either Gio or one of the other youngsters as 3rd choice. Nichols is leaving. thank god. I think he had been one of our biggest underperforming players..

It's pretty clear that it's going to be a year of transition. Hogg still around for a year, then other midfielders can be brought in, IF they are available. No point in repeating the mistakes of last January. With Hogg around he can mentor the youngsters and the incoming players, much better way than simply letting him go.

Can't believe Diakhaby isn't in the mix. That first touch for Forest on loan... Diakhaby is the worst ‘professional’ footballer I have ever seen, in fact I haven’t seen many worse at National League North level We bought him for silly money and paid silly wages. We then didnt use him and when we finally did, we didnt use his one and only talent. Had we simply left him on half way and cleared the ball into the opposition half at least he could have used that one talent and chased it. In the relegation season that may have been the best defensive tactic we had. ?? Watching him 'defend' made Sorba look like Bobby Moore.
