I ask for the fifth time Who are we replacing him with to give us better option? How many centre mids we have signed have been better than him in last 10 years aside Mooy? Nil responses to date Why are you confident that changes now or we don’t weaken the squad Have you asked me four times already? No. We're not having a conversation face to face so there's no need to get agitated. I don't know how to install a new radiator, but that won't stop me from relying on the professional whose job it is to replace it. If the plumber does a poor job on the replacement, that's a poor piece of installation rather than the wrong decision to install a new radiator. I'd suggest that one of Barnsley's centre midfielders (Connell, Kane) would be an improvement, and I'm sure there are literally dozens more out there that we should be able to get for a similar or lower wage now we're in League One. It wasn’t directed at you. Don’t get agitated! If there are dozens it’d be good to know who from one of many who want rid of Hogg I don’t understand why anyone would say get rid when they can’t suggest a replacement - knowing we’ve not found a better option in a decade aside one Mooy I’d agree with Kane. I expect he’ll go to the championship / cost too much. Good signing if we could

He said in the presser they have spoken and I think he will want to keep him. Just my guess.

That's why I'm willing to let us say our goodbyes to Rhodes and proceed with the Radulovic experiment. If we get our recruitment right, I would expect us to be much better at creating decent goalscoring chances next season, and that's where Radulovic would come in handy (in the same way Rhodes would). If we started the season with Healey, Ward, Radulovic and one other new striker - would take a big lump who might not score loads but could at least handle League 1 centre backs, then I think we'd have a decent balance. Tyreece Simpson? I hope not. He managed a meagre 3 goals for Northampton this season.

One thing I did take from that press conference is that Duff is rested and ready to work. It’s great he has time to plan properly.
Also no “fire sale”.
I heard more excuses about the two transfer windows. They have to do much better this time.

Able deputy if Maxwell is no.1 if/when Nicholls departs.

Able deputy if Maxwell is no.1 if/when Nicholls departs. Really don't think Maxwell is good enough. In the few matches he played we conceded a number of really soft goals where he should have done a lot better

Hopefully he goes out on a full season loan at League 2.
He'll be 24 in October. Needs a full season of matches this coming season.
Nichols & Maxwell, with either Gio or one of the other youngsters as 3rd choice.

Listening to Simpsons interview, when he first arrived, you thought confident. When he said in a question regarding, what you can learn from Rhodes and Ward "maybe they can learn something from me". Semmend confident then, now just looks delusional, which seems like a lot of the players we have had in the last 4/5 years have that issue.

Hogg can still do a job at this level but will he still be the captain.

In fairness he barely got a chance last season. 164 minutes over 10 games doesn’t feel like enough to time to give up on someone. I know he hasn’t done well in league one this season but could be a decent squad player as he’s the only striker we have who can actually run

The fact that he name checked speaking to Hogg would suggest that he’s staying.

Hearing what duff was saying sounds like Hogg has signed a new deal I've just listened to the first interview. I fully expect Hogg to be offered a deal, retain the captaincy and likely be aided in following the same path he did under Dyche. They strike me as being very similar characters.

That's how shite the club gave been in the transfer market mate, players like Hudlin being, no disrespect to the man. The fans were screaming for him to start at the beginning of the season. A low point for sure. Given how many times we played without strikers I can understand why.

We've signed some absolute dross in the last five years. Kyle Hudlin, Richard Keogh, Richard Stearman, Frazier Campbell, Herbert Bockhorn, Rolando Aarons, Joel Pereira, Yaya Sanogo, Mipo Odubeko, Luke Mbete, Anthony Knockaert, Martyn Waghorn, Matt Lowton, Connor Mahoney, Will Boyle, David Kasumu, Tyreece Simpson. And that's just off the top of my head. Joel "The Hologram" Pereira, Matt Lowton, Luke Mbete & Connor Mahoney should be in a separate section of their own. They weren't just shite. They were the sort of shite that gives shite a bad name.
