George Binns is & always will be Mr Huddersfield Town to me & some of the older ones, when you went to the old ground to renew your season ticket a lot of the times it was GB who came out to see you in reception & personally show his appreciation for your support of Town when signing the receipt......A top,top bloke in his nineties (?) & lives in Moldgreen (or used too). Players used to work in the office as well. I remember buying away tickets from Iwan Roberts and he didn’t have his front teeth in!

This just popped up on my youtube, a football doc from 30 years ago, features Leeds Road in the first couple of minutes. That was excellent indeed and Thank You very much for putting it up to enjoy... Great that HTAFC were so involved especially the beautiful and graceful old lady of Leeds Road and also The Mac emerging Down At its shadows... Some good old Scottish input as well and the old Dundee United wifey spoke more sense than Foddy ever did and spoke more clearly too and I enjoyed not being ordered to ‘Listen’ as I was happy to listen to her insight voluntarily ! See it was Stuart Cosgrove presenting - He’s a good St. Johnstone fan who did a really good comedy / light hearted and witty footy show on Radio Scotland called ‘Off the ball’ - His fellow co-host was well known Motherwell fan Tam Cowan and it was a bit of relief among all the carnivores of Scottish Football that eat each other up on a weekly basis... I once met Cowan in The Islay Bar in The Finnieston area of Glasgow in the company of a Celtic supporter and a Rangers fan. He asked who they supported and they duly said... So Cowan says “Ach - Them two, they’re only a couple of dods of shite” So perplexed we look lost and he senses this and says... ”Well you’ve got Billy Dodds and Davie Dodds at Ibrox and Rafael Phillipee Scheidt (pronounced Shite) at Parkhead so that’s why The Old Firm are a couple of Dodds of Shite ! 😉 He didn’t even need to think about that either... Aw Jeepers - Millennium Memories from around 24 years ago !!! 😊 👍

Thanks for sharing that Hasta. Great memories and some good little snippets of our great town on that bus journey.

Brilliant…the footage of the queue includes my Dad, (about 1:15 in) turning his back on the camera because he’d nipped out during his lunch break and didn’t want to be spotted. I think it was a queue for Wembley tickets for the Auto Windscreen Shields game against Swansea. Still with us, but sadly no longer attending matches at 88.
