Interesting regarding the stadium....seems KN is helping the Giants with a new stadium? Or just buying them out of the JS? How did anyone else take that situation? I found that interesting, almost seems the agreement with Kirklees is in place now with just the Giants to settle with. Sounds promising either way! Feels like we're relying on Ken Davy to play ball and be reasonable.... Again. Based on the past that's probably not a forgone conclusion, especially since it's obvious how much KN wants the stadium. I seem to remember Dean finding it difficult although we probably only heard one side. Fingers crossed they can come to a fair agreement.

Seriously though, the stadium is way too big for the Giants. They'd be miles better off in a smaller stadium.

After watching that I'm kinda getting excited for the new season. Bring it on. Not namechecked exactly but acknowledgement for htafcokay and his question about celebrating Town's history and a museum

Maybe think before posting comments like that. Maybe, but if he hadn't made that comment, we wouldn't have been able to read htafcokay 's response. Properly made me , did that! Concise and straight to the point, twas a brilliant response

Great, ale v lager wars 🤦🏻♂️ FWIW, I like both. I just don’t preach at others about it. The real problem of this debate is that real ale devotees do like to preach about it.

Best diary yet that. I feel both Kevin and Dave are starting to find the right tone and seemingly understanding the game and our fanbase better. Hopefully this season can be a fresh start for all involved.

Dunno, I've seen preachy nonsense from both directions. Drink what you wanna drink, or indeed dont bother at all. There's no sides to pick.

To be unfair, his loading of future debt on the club because he couldn't find a buyer capable of satisfying his perceived value caused us problems before. It seems vaguely ridiculous. If I own a house that is attracting monthly rental of £700, that I desperately want to get rid of and think its worth £300k but have received no offers anywhere close to that....BUT....I'll sell it to you for (what I believe is) a cut-down £150k, and if over the next few years you successfully update and upscale the house to such a level that its attracting monthly rent of £1500, then you give me £125k...fair? No, not fair! You don't buy the price of future potential when you're purchasing a business (or a house), you buy at TODAY's value.

why what did i say wrong? do tell . So we just give £15m as a gift to Dean Hoyle for getting promoted? The same Dean Hoyle that promised to put our shares in a trust over ten years ago but hasn’t? The same Dean Hoyle that cut budgets to the bone and plundered us down the championship which, the following season saw us relegated which he has some part to play in. The same Dean Hoyle who was prepared to put the club into administration. £15m to HTAFC is a huge amount of money to give to someone as a gift, especially when it’s undeserved.

The cost of writing off a debt. Even if he ran up the debt buying us pints.

Decent diary, plenty covered.
Sounds like the stadium ownership issue might be making serious progress, but, I'm sure we've heard similar down the years, so I won't be holding my breath on that one.
Liked when he said that the 'bellend brigade' would be getting the boot rather than allowing them to continue disrupting the changing room and disgracing the badge. Not in those words mind.
He said he's sent clear instructions that an instant return to the championship is top of the agenda, talk is cheap though and actions speak louder than words.
Fingers crossed he can deliver.

I look forward to the days Bloom/Benham/Gibson etc are taking money out of their own football clubs following someone else's success, years after they've exited.

I aren't disgreeing on any of your points mate, in fact i agree on all of them. I think the kidea i have, is if we get to the prem and clearly have a owner now, who has far more money than people think. Then it is a small price to pay, to get Hoyle finally out of the picture. Hoyle was never going to go for "free" as people thought, when the deal was down last year. If Nagle is happy with it , then it means that it wont effect any investment ideas , that he may have if/ when we get back to the prem.

I'm not totally sure why, but Kevin Nagel always makes me feel very positive about the future - am I delusional?

I'm not totally sure why, but Kevin Nagel always makes me feel very positive about the future - am I delusional? When he speaks, when he's here, when he calls at Marston's. I feel like we are in great hands, the disconnect is when he's in sac, these diaries help, if its going well they will help, if things are bad, he opens himself up to criticism and abuse, but they still help that connection. Im happier listening to Kev and Dave than the manager or JE/MC. He should move to the UK and do diaries for sac.
