Neil Warnock became the fifth Huddersfield Town manager to steer the club to promotion and local lads Andy Booth and Chris Billy became the third and fourth Town players to score at Wembley.
No Town player has scored a goal at the national stadium since, despite us playing there four times in the intervening years.

I'm missing one as I can only think of Sheff Utd, Reading and Notts Florists, who have I missed?

Old Trafford v Peterborough, we didn’t score.
Not the national stadium but still…

We are Leeds in disguise. Except we have actually progressed, unlike them

Can you imagine a play-off final like that these days? Both sides having loads of chances, both goalkeepers excelling, both sides hitting the woodwork, not a cagey tactical set-up in sight. A proper, open game.
Football just doesn't seem as fun.

God that video makes me feel really old. First sight of Marcus Stewart, but for me it was the last time I was with my dad before he died. At the final whistle me and my brothers/son/nephew went bonkers, and my dad just sat in his seat with a smile on his face. Thanks dad. UTT

No need for its own thread, but it's 7 years ago today since THAT penalty that was far and away my best single moment watching Town. And it almost certainly always will be, because I can't begin to imagine what might realistically better it.
Also two years today since the Moss and Tierney Show.

Watching again those highlights from '95, what a performance from Marcus Stewart and what a fantastic player for us he subsequently became. Thoughts are with him now as he fights that awful condition.

Thoughts are with him now as he fights that awful condition. He was the obvious stand out player in that game....the one clearly a level above everyone else. We had a great team but, Boothy aside, not really one with individual brilliance. I remember being genuinely over the moon when we signed hom with the Boothy money....felt like we'd done some amazing business and actually invested most of that money in new players....rather than servicing a debt etc

Great memories! Had a right weekend… stayed with my partner’s sister in Coventry the day before and went to the local funfair that night. Then the rollercoaster ride of the match itself, great game you can only enjoy once it’s over! We got drunk on Southern Comfort to celebrate. Not touched the stuff since 🤪 blurghhh

I was that impressed with him in the final that when it was reported that we'd bought Marcus Stewart I had to double check there weren't two players with the same name.
