Paterson is the latest in a long line of former players to return to the club as part of the backroom staff.
He joins the likes of Mark Lillis, Les Chapman, Terry Dolan, Lee Martin, Martyn Booty, John Dungworth, Ronnie Jepson, Alex Dyer, Danny Schofield, Ian Bennett and Simon Ireland.

I think him returning as an established assistant is a good move. He knows about the club. It's not like he's coming back to play which is a different situation altogether.

Remember when we signed Patterson. We were on holiday with friends (also town fans). The phones were buzzing with the news.

At least he's now back in a league he knows well. Hopefully he's a brilliant coach, who knows. Best man for the job or jobs for the boys. Hopefully the former. |

Important a new manager can bring in his own man he knows & trusts - irrelevant to me if he’s been here or not good or bad, more important his relationship with Duff
Ideally he’d bring in a couple more but we’ve had more new coaches than new fans over the last couple of years we can’t afford to have a complete change every time, didn’t helped Boore either
I assume Guy wasn’t AB’s man to start with unless an old connection?
