Yes, a few of the names could be a stretch though all good reputations of being professional/leaders etc. Need that type of player with a couple of young faces.

We can sign players, they just offically register on 1st july, look at Rotherham for example. Signing players to start at the end of their deal, with us needing a big turn around. Then i would hope we are getting a move on , both ins and outs.

Some good players on there which, despite us having a decent budget and a genuine tilt at promotion, would feel unrealistic. Yet if they sign for Brum it wouldn't be a surprise.

I remember Joey Guðjónsson signing for us after having better offers from higher leagues, proper experienced midfielder,but ambition and a chance at promotion persuaded him to sign, could do with something like that again with some of the frees in that list

Until current playing staff start leaving we're unlikely to sign many. Ideally we want Austerfield; High, Hudlin and Simpson out early to be able to get a midfielder and a couple of wing backs in. Almost all of the midfielders mentioned would improve our team (except Livermore - Hogg clone).

to be fair in the Duff presser, Cartwright said that was not the case. That we had to wait to sell before we buy.

I wasn't meaning we can't bring in players but that with the wage restraints imposed by the league we're likely to concentrate on key positions or players we can't do without until some are out of the door. 

Centre back being a good example - with Balker, Helik, Pearson, Lees, Ayina, Spencer, Turton and Ruffells all able to play there we're likely to be making contact with agents to line someone up for when any of them leave but unlikely to sign more than one before someone moves on.

Midfield and wing back are obvious areas of weakness that we may need to address more urgently.

We will have to wait and see.

It just has to be a much better window than we have seen in recent years, no more old past it players, injured players or Ex Town players.
