Glad to see he’s a player and not a manager / assistant manager / assistant coach....
As HTAFC simply don’t have Lang staff (in ma best 🏴 accent) in these particular departments though -
Plenty Short staff these last few seasons for sure all the same ! 😬

If hes a good trainer and puts his heart and sole into it then he will do better than the current set of cloggers.

I watched about 25 goals. The commentator said "Get in!" in the same tone on all but one. I'm undecided. His goalscoring record is good. But at the age of 27, he has only played league football for 1 season (a very good return for this season mind you). Why is that? How much would he cost (I imagine a decent amount)? He's probably in his peak years, I can't see him improving much beyond where he is now so a decision would need to be made on whether it would be worth the amount he would cost.

Highly doubt we would get him.
I reckon a few champ clubs will be eyeing him up

With as much respect to Huddersfield as I can muster; why the fuck would Langstaff want to join Huddersfield?

With as much respect to Huddersfield as I can muster; why the fuck would Langstaff want to join Huddersfield? I dunno, I haven't asked him. Why the fuck would he want to join anyone. Its a job I suppose. To me he looks like a decent bet for a Jamie Vardy type player. £2M and he'd go anywhere I reckon. Coventry have done well but Robins won't take them any further. If Leeds had a brain they'd sign him but they are probably too wrapped up elsewhere.

I’ve only seen Langstaff play once, when Notts lost 5-1 at Sutton in the opening game of last season. He scored. Seen him on TV of course; he seems to be very much a goal poacher.
You can’t knock his goal scoring record the last couple of seasons. Play to his strengths and he’ll score. I’d take a chance on him.

When have we ever done that with strikers..Rhodes is a natural scorer, never got a look in.. crosses too high, passes too late..we even had VLP but he just wouldn't release the ball..Sorba was mainly inaccurate too..if we had a Mooy and decent attacking full backs, a midfield..well maybe then we should splash cash on a striker.. otherwise, a waste of time and money.

All that is in the past and bugger all to do with Duff. It’s a fresh start and that has to begin somehow.

Well begin by getting wingers and midfielders, when that's done we can think about lashing out on a striker, maybe?

Do we need a striker? That's thd last place I'd be looking to strengthen, we have Healy, Radulovic, Harratt, Ward and Phillips ok I know he's out on loan and had a lot of injury problems but unless any of the these lot are wanting away we are OK in the striker department.

I disagree, we need to move 3 of those on. Quickly. And if you're going to name Harratt and Phillips you should mention Hudlin as well, unless I've3 missed something in the last day or so.

Hudlin isn't a footballer, I forget Simpson as well, that's why I didn't mention him.

I think I remember us making Starbuck captain to get him on a new deal then Warnock decided he didn't fancy him and he left anyway not that long into the new season.
was gutted at the time but Warnock got us promoted that season so was proven right.

I’ve seen this lad play several times as Meadow Lane is close to where I live. I have been a Town fan for over 50 years and am a sc holder. He is the real deal, knows how to score and works hard for the team. I would love Town to show a real interest at getting him, especially if their alleged interest in Alfie May comes to nothing.

But, we won’t spend 2m+ for a striker in League 1. Which is what they will want minimum.

Just watched clips of his goals from County's promotion season. Class act and young. Worthwhile punt. Go for it.

I'd rather spend 2m on this lad than 1m-1.5m on may.
