Not much playing time last year.
No idea if he was injured or just out of favour.

Another one? He did it in 2022 Actually cancel that, looks like you were explaining his lack of playing time last season, would have missed alot due to recovery. Should be fit now though surely?

Yes, fit now but couldn't break into the team by the looks. Only started 4 Championship games.

If fit, a fine squad option. Physically bigger than that we have, which is good. We need to be more physical in the middle. From what I’ve seen of him he’s quite comfortable on the ball. Unlucky at Ipswich in the sense that he was behind Sam Morsy in their pecking order, but I don’t know what their fans think of him.

Looks like you say fairly comfortable on the ball,he wouldn’t have been signed by Ipswich if he wasn’t.like you say a big lad also and more a ball winning type of defensive midfielder. Probably be required to win ball back and pop it off to someone more creative.we do have a couple of these unless Kasumu is on his way but certainly we could use the physical aspect. Could be fairly shrewd signing or could be very none descript. Potentially ok with the right other types around him coming in. Let’s see if it happens.

I hope you're 100% certain. Only that level of knowledge requires the eyes!! Tin hat on if it doesn't happen!

I’ve asked a couple that I know who have said - ‘he’s a hard c*nt who’s a decent leader. Decent passer of the ball and loves a tackle too. Can play CDM or CB if needed. Would be class in League 1 especially’. Looks to have had a big injury (shock) and fell behind Morsy who’s always been highly rated so struggled to get some game time.

Would never claim to be ITK as I am not. Having said that I did hear last week from a source I trust that this particular DB has been in discussions with us.

I hope this comes off, having a quick look at some Ipswich & QPR fans' thoughts about him, they all seem to love him & wish him all the best. He seems to always give 100%, is a real team player, strong in the tackle, good in the air, prefers to play defensive midfield but can play RB or CB.
It sounds like he just needs to play some games on a regular basis, I hope he's our new Hoggy & our old Hoggy can come on to play significant parts when we need to shore up the last 20 mins etc.

Which i feel is massive, as we need to flood the squad with strong leader types, to get the dressing room back into winning way and a hard working displined way.

If Hogg is on a one year contract, and Maynard said it was us or quit, then we need a replacement. If he is fully recovered from his injury then he could be that player.

Makes sense I s’ppose. I can’t see him being first or second choice DM, but with Hoggy and Kasumu’s injury record, I can see us needing another option (it doesn’t look like there’s a DM emerging from the academy).

Great that the fans of his previous clubs like him, shame he’s played so little of the last three seasons. Last thing we need is an injury prone player in a key position.
Maybe we’re thinking him and Hogg between them will be enough to fulfil all the fixtures? I’d be looking to move Kasumu on personally, he’s not good enough.

Nevermind all of this glowing reference nonsense. Surely all that matters is whether he is a Beswick client or not. Needs to be as much reason as possible to be able to criticise Cartwright with any decision. 😉

I think that his right back/wing back appearances showed that he can be very versatile. Having said that, I will trust the management team to get in and let go who they think will make us competitive.

So, where is this even coming from? I can't see it reported anywhere, and Maynard hasn't interacted with it.
Seems like a decent option from what I've read, especially if we can keep him fit. Can't say I know much about him, other than what I've read here.
