Makes sense I s’ppose. I can’t see him being first or second choice DM, but with Hoggy and Kasumu’s injury record, I can see us needing another option (it doesn’t look like there’s a DM emerging from the academy). Tom Iorpenda? Town seem to see him as a 6 or an 8. Personally, I can’t see him at 6 doing all the dirty work in L1. Furthermore, I think you’d waste arguably his best attributes in doing so. That’s not to say he couldn’t do it, but it’s a much more vital / combative role in L1 to that of the Champ where it is, arguably, a more dynamic position. If we’re going to blood him, play him at 8. Take the heat off the lad. Give him a little more room to breathe and play and develop with more creativity. |

It will depend how MD sees him and how the club want to develop him. I know he has described himself as a box to box midfielder, which we could definitely use. |

I don't know owt about Ball as a player, but I can think of a few players who've been permanently knackered by meniscus injuries. If we want a Hogg replacement, we need someone who has more games left in the tank.

So, where is this even coming from? I can't see it reported anywhere, and Maynard hasn't interacted with it. Seems like a decent option from what I've read, especially if we can keep him fit. Can't say I know much about him, other than what I've read here. Maybe this? And pardon my ignorance, but is Million Dollar Babies usually on the money? Not saying it's wrong, just interested where this has come from |
