Definitely a decent option on a free, Plymouth offered him a new contract but he wanted to move on, suggests he has something about him.
Plenty of pace, happy to carry the ball and put a cross in. Chat on the Plymouth forums is that he struggles to pick someone out with the final ball, but opinion is split as to whether that's his fault or the fact that no-one was getting into the box in the first place. Maybe development under Duff and playing with a striker like Healey or May(?) might be what he needs.

Miller comes in as first choice and it may force one or two of the three named to look at moving on. Ruffels has a year on his deal and would be the likeliest to garner interest. It’s one thing to tell a player he can leave, it’s another to bring in a replacement and ease them out. |

Sounds like this lad would balance Sorenson out on the other side really well.

Could see a scenario where Ruffels ends up as the left centre back of 3. Not sure he's got the engine to be a wing back in Duff's system now.

I guess that's a possibility, however, he can't be anywhere near fit yet, he didn't feature in any of the 3 30mins teams yesterday (though neither did Hogg or Lees). |

It seems Plymouth fans are extremely pleased to be seeing the back of him. Some say don’t let the door slam on your way out.
Defensively poor, zero end zone product, but a couple which say his pace is dangerous.
Some mention an attitude problem
I suppose time will tell!
