Limassol are rapid. Very sharp. We can’t cope with their press.
We on the other hand look like we’re running through treacle.

These are a bit better than league one standard though It doesn’t matter, the better teams in league 1 will be similar in terms or playstyles, countering and pace. Without Balker and Spencer for 40 games were in trouble. Even the lower standard teams in the league will be sitting back countering and people are comfortable with recoveries from Lees and Pearson? Rotherham got promoted with Richard Wood and REG. I think we'll be fine |

Ruffels has been guilty of a few mistakes and missed a number of tackles. He’s really struggled down this left hand side.
Clinical from AL but a mistake from Ruffels makes it 2-0.
We’re struggling with the pace in the back three this half. We’re gonna need some dynamism in there without Radinio.

Lees, Pearson and Ruffells look slow, as does Hogg. The opposition look a lot quicker. See what the second half brings.

HT and really good test from a side clearly, and expectedly, on a different level to us. Their speed of press and athleticism caused us problems, particularly evident in our back three. On the ball, they are also going to have to show more; predictable, pedestrian and easily pressed, their lack of quality was exposed.
Not all bad from Town though, with some good spells of possession with intent and the midfield / forwards working hard to make the most of what they got. Most of what was good coming through Herbie Kane who was definitely our stand-out player. Great run by Miller drawing the penalty.
Anthony Evans is gonna bring some excitement back from set pieces again. Much more measured / consistent than Thomas and a real threat direct, hitting the post for the second time in as many appearances.

Assume he's playing in a back three which isn't his favoured position either I don't think? He's just not very good. |
