Evans 2 direct Fk's in a town shirt, hit the post twice. I think he might bag a few this season.
Kane shown some nice touches.

Ruffles is having a torrid time. They're yards quicker than us. Ruffles looked awful until Warnock somehow turned him into a serviceable championship left back. He's probably just reverted to type? Assume he's playing in a back three which isn't his favoured position either I don't think? He's just not very good. He's coming back from some bad injuries, give him chance to get going again |

HT and really good test from a side clearly, and expectedly, on a different level to us. Their speed of press and athleticism caused us problems, particularly evident in our back three. On the ball, they are also going to have to show more; predictable, pedestrian and easily pressed, their lack of quality was exposed. Not all bad from Town though, with some good spells of possession with intent and the midfield / forwards working hard to make the most of what they got. Most of what was good coming through Herbie Kane who was definitely our stand-out player. Great run by Miller drawing the penalty. Anthony Evans is gonna bring some excitement back from set pieces again. Much more measured / consistent than Thomas and a real threat direct, hitting the post for the second time in as many appearances. If Sorba is still with us come kick off you can be sure he’ll be taking corners..Evans will be on direct free kicks. |

Kane looks good on the ball but off the ball not so much. Yeah he’s been caught in possession twice and looks heavy to me. I get he’s a heavy set player but I’d imagine he’ll be fitter come kick off. |

Kanes mobility is a worry when he’s in there with Hogg for me. He needs some legs around him like Kasumu.
Looking forward to seeing ecclstone again

Really good test for us, they are a very decent side & for those suggesting Ruffels is struggling, him & Miller are playing against a Senegal African Cup of Nations winner, who is rapid.
Their whole attack is pacey & our defence won't have to cope with anything like their threat.
Miller & Sorenson have been very quiet but they are being held back by their counter attacking pace. That being said, Miller had one good run that got us our pen.
Evans very unlucky to hit the inside of the post again with another beautiful free kick & Kane has shown a couple of good touches & struck a good shot. We've not created too many chances but we've stuck to our task 1st half, I would think Duff will be really pleased with the first half, though we've not seen anything of the cross field balls so far, well not by us anyway!

Defo showing our lack of pace at the back and not been aware positionaly getting caught a lot especially behind Miller when he's attacking.
