If anyone is interested the All Ireland football final is on today between Armagh and Galway throw in is at 3:30, it will be shown live on BBC2.

Heartbreak for all Galway fans. Watched in McSwiggans in Galway, the city has literally come to a standstill. Too many wides and the loss of the captain (injured warming up) and the main free kicker (taken out fairly brutally) meant that we came up just short.
There was so much Galway expectation that this was their year for the first time in over 20 years. Armargh just hung in there and got the crucial goal that saw them over the line. Such a tight game, settled by tiny margins but with massive consequences.

Too much pissing around and passing going nowhere especially last few moments when Galway needed to score.
Not the spectacle of hurling for me.

What’s this got to do with Town? The clue is in ‘if anyone is interested’. Nothing, other than a few Town fans might have been interested. It’s off season, plenty of non Town stuff on here at the best of times. It’s what makes us a great bunch, variety is the spice of life… |

Yeah, Galway play a Man City style of possession and trust themselves when they get in kicking positions. In extra time they just needed to go for it but couldn’t change their style so ended up fucking around. I agree hurling is the better spectacle but not all matches are like the Clare v Cork match and similarly not all football matches are like yesterdays match. Some teams trade in goals (Kerry, Dub, Likerick, Rossies) but the tactical teams seem to have the upper hand atm. |

I wouldn’t advise watching Fermanagh if people thought that was dull 😂
My in laws are from Armagh and there are a few sore heads there this morning.
