Currently sat watching this. First thing to say is the stadium looks superb They've repainted the concourses, everything looks fresh. Most important thing is the bar - Cruzcampo and Neck Oil on tap... YGenuinely looks great. Lampposts all have banners up, thd walls are all branded as you walk in etc. Tells me we're definitely buying the stadium. As for the session, only notable absences are Sorba and Hogg. Bojan, Spencer, Nicholls and Helik are all here. It's all very serene but a pleasant way to skive off work.     |

Yeah also sat watching. It looks quite good to say it's only a light session. Kian Harratt looks quite sharp, wonder if he's going to be involved much this season.
Stadium is also the best it's ever looked IMO. Some of the credit goes to Phil for the white seats.. 🤣🤣

I've long wondered why they retained that single strip of red seats in the Riverside Upper... Giants ST holders… 😉 Dunno, although it would be nice for the Giants to have a couple of years challenging again, maybe a move to a more compact and atmospheric ground would suit them? |

I've long wondered why they retained that single strip of red seats in the Riverside Upper... I'd always assumed it was because they were either padded/bigger than the normal seats as they are the White Rose club seats or something like that. Not that I've ever been up to those heady heights! |

I think it is as as boring as symmetry; another bright-white row that isn't continuous could (and I appreciate that is subjective) look odd. But then why they didn't swap them for blue is anyone's guess. |

Spoke briefly to a few players afterwards. Now, I'll caveat this with "of course they would say that" but Spencer, Helik and Nicholls all said they were staying when I asked.

All stands have gone unsponsored How much are PaddyPower paying us for that? Club decision to have no stand sponsorship, all signs indicating a sponsors name should be removed by the start of the season, ownership of the stadium done and dusted , legals being completed. |
