How much are PaddyPower paying us for that? Club decision to have no stand sponsorship, all signs indicating a sponsors name should be removed by the start of the season, ownership of the stadium done and dusted , legals being completed. TBF I was being facetious re: PaddyPower, but I wasn't aware of that decision. Have the club given any rationale behind the absence of sponsorship? Only, I don't see any reason for closing off the potential income stream (notwithstanding the fact that to me it'll always be North Stand, South Stand, Riverside & Kilner Bank.).

Wonder if Bojan was not taken to Austria as a kind of wake up call to get him to pull his finger out. Might still be sold but sends a message to him and the squad of the standards required.

Did bojan look like he was going to be with us. As he made a couple of good cameo appearances last year seems strange to sell so early into town career

He was injured, I think? Thought I’d seen people say that he wasn’t, or that it hadn’t been announced that he was injured?

Apparently it’s an American thing, where the stadium is the “ named” fixture, don’t think the revenue stream was that great and sponsors generally would only commit to short term naming contracts, so sometimes it was more trouble than it was worth.

I guess whoever sponsors the stadium gets exclusivity. I never took to any of the stand names so glad they're calling them by their proper names in future. Hopefully whoever sponsors the stadium will be a decent brand. Be interesting to see whether it will be an American company or a brand from over here genuinely seeking exposure.

I've often wondered if it has taken Bojan a bit of time to settle. It's easy to forget he's a young man moving to a foreign country.
If I recall, Wagner let Paurevic go because he wasn't settling.

He was at Brighton, so he should have known if he would settle or not. I genuinely think his injury meant there would be zero point in him going, and maybe chance to gym it for his upper body.

The last announcement was 2016 regarding a 5-year extension I assume so , though removing all the John Smith signs and logos, especially on the main frontage of the Riverside Stand will be a major task, but work is underway re signing the stands throughout the ground, some of the club crests on the sides of the buildings are illuminated and should be a real stand out at night, looking good, imo.

Just seen the new clip on Town’s WhatsApp channel. Ground is looking superb.

Guessing we have pretty much got ownership given that we are making all the decisions and doing what we want with the ground, presume something to finalise before it's announced (possibly the giants home/future plans?)
Would also guess that we have let the sponsorship contracts expire and once it's officially ours will seek sponsorship on the whole stadium rather than individual stands? Surely more lucrative and less annoying than every stand being a sponsorship name (i.e. South stand rather than Durex stand)
