The new head of performance. Seems to have a lot of experience from sports science to performance, to medical and psychology. MD mentioned in the latest Unrestricted that Burbeary has already set the standards.
And no, he's never worked for Stoke!

BUT no websites, and no DATM.....was it REALLY better?!?!?!??! No web sites and DATM ? Thankfully not. Instead we had the Examiner - Saturday night and Monday - and a bit of chat on the back pages every other night. And yes, it was better.. players were part of the community - you could go home on the same bus as a Town player after a game ( or on the pop if you really knew them). How many players in todays team will you see around Huddersfield in years to come - very, very few I'd imagine yet there's till many from the old days around and part of the community. That'll not happen in future. Players played for years for the same team rather than today when they bugger off after three seasons. It's bad now but wait until the bloody Yanks get their fingers in the pot. We'll have games of four quarters with 15 minute advertising breaks between each part. And every player will be a multi millionaire. |
