Just a quick update to say that Part's 2 and 3 of the season preview are now out. We've announced a new show with a couple of new podcasters as well. Part 3 is a bit geeky on tactics - if it's not your thing to sit and talk tactics it might be worth a swerve Watching part 3.... Im Panicking about our back 3 now lol Tbf I was slightly worried before. Yeah, sorry bout that

We tried a few different things. A sort of hybrid watchalong/pod. I wouldn't mind some constructive feedback (providing it's better than that whopper who just wrote "Diarrhea" in the comments section ). Also a new layout to The Warm Up. We're aiming for about 20/25 mins for that show.

Personally⦠the tactics board is a great addition in both the preview pod and the warm up.. great insight to see opposition shape etc pre and post match and expectations set out like that - thanks again!

I feel any suggestions I make will be inferior to what you actually produce. Best free HTFC podcast available. Speaking of which though - at the start of your latest one you described Killer as being full time. Does that mean he'll be more regular on there than before? What are the implications for The Town Social (which I also enjoy)?

Love The Town Social too, Nick and Gaz never fail to crack me up. TTC is genuinely fantastic as well, really enjoy Mattβs professionalism with it too, going the extra yards on other pods for insights on teams/players, professional mic and camera quality - goes a long way. Although I think this week Jai and Matt had a few connection/mic issues cutting out but not really too much of a detriment.
Tactical knowledge is fantastic as well and itβs refreshing to hear people with similar footballing brainsβ¦. Compared to shall we say other posters on here that think Pearsonβs passing aptitude is championship level π
Would appreciate some merch on the way soon so we us listeners can give back π.
Love the longer and more consistent episodes too - definitely not selfish as if none of you have actual lives to attend to also π
Keep up the good work. Canβt remember the last time I missed an episode.

Yeah, there's some genuinely insightful stuff from quite a few of them, but Killer is really good for that & whether I agree with him or not, there's genuinely intelligent insight & he explains his points clearly. Sometimes altering my perspective when I look again.

On the last but one episode, one of the guys said that Anthony Evans reminds them of Aaron Moy. I donβt see itβ¦ Herbie Kane, however, does. Not much pace, but has an awareness of everything going on around him.

Evans seems to me more like a lampard type, help with build up and arrive late into the box type of player

Is that you offering your services to furnish us with your superior tactical understanding? If you're referring to killer - TBH I do get what you mean but I think that's just his presentation style. Some people come across more naturally and off the cuff, whereas I get the impression that he's put a lot of thought into preparing what he's going to say. What he says comes across as rehearsed, because it probably is rehearsed! I don't blame him - I'd shit myself if I had to go on there not knowing what I was going to say. Personally I'm grateful for that effort and I get a lot out of it. TBH I get something out of all of them and that mixture of presenters/contributors to the podcast makes for a great watch IMO.

Just to give Killer some props, Iβve been listening since Neil used to be on and Killer is probably up there with the best line up to be honest.
Even if you have nicked him from that Town Social pod!
Anyone remember the Thrice Champions podcast back in the day?

Canβt remember the last time I missed an episode. I've got a Rodecaster Pro which allows for the sound quality, Killer has a proper mic. Kosi and Pozza have one but never use them . In terms of audio quality, if you listen to the pod rather than watch I do edit the audio quality and push it through filters so it should be of better quality than on YouTube which can pick up glitches from bandwidth throttling that Jai had issues with the other day. The merch will be a while... Need the legend that is PompeyTerrier to help there when he's free .

Headless Chicken is a mate of mine, heard worse from him in Whatsapp . Pretty sure what he means is that there was no need to say people on DATM don't have any tactical understanding to try and elevate the podcast. People on DATM do have varied and interesting opinions - all of them valid. Sometimes people on here talk absolute mince and so do we.. .

Anyone remember the Thrice Champions podcast back in the day? Killer was on our podcast before The Town Social. Some people may or may not remember that we used to have a phone in section with "Talk, Talk" being the musical intro. Killer, when he lived in Aus was one of the phone in guests along with... Brady Frost who then became more of a regular too . Some poundland version of The WWE's Big Show with lesser comedic timing used to appear from time to time as well, didn't he Gag_N_Bone_Man (Destabiliser) ? Thrice Champions. Thrice Champions was actually a merger between HTFCOnline started by Me & PompeyTerrier and Scarlet Runners by Greg Marah (who later started The Town Social with Killer et al). I stepped away at that point as I was p/t at Town and was a bit of a conflict of interest. Greg ran with it and did a good job with what he had available.

Greg definitely had a good voice for podcasting! Really appreciate the podcast, I get itβs a lot of work for probably not too much returns but like I said, been listening for years during my commutes. Any chance of getting Kevin on? That Dean Hoyle podcast was a really good episode, I thought Kevin would have been up for doing it given how many former club staff have been on. Itβs hardly like going on Andrew Marr!

Have you ever considered asking DTS for a Zoom invite to the pre-match press conferences? I appreciate this is effectively volunteering you for additional unpaid work, but if somebody from the group had the availability / motivation to dial in each week, I think it would help improve the quality of questions being asked. At the end of the day, you're no less legitimate a media outlet than 'We are Terriers' or 'Jim from County Clare', and I'd imagine Duffo's already starting to tire of the Hannah / Chicken / Wobschall triumvirate every week
