Town should have had 3 or 4. Another side comes to the JS and goes in at half time without having a shot.

sorensen will get double figure assists this season btw He's our version of an Andy Robertson and/or TAA. I think Headley/Miller will be the other half. In terms of Assists (not necessarily ability/technique). |

Very solid display, would have liked to get a second seeing as we dominated that first half. We have hit the post and Wiles should have scored. Stevenage very limited, route 1 style, that they are struggling to execute. Their keeper kicking it far too long so even if they do get a flick on its straight through to Nicholls. They cant keep possession for more than a couple of passes, which I think credit goes to how Duff has set us up. Straight in their face, dont give them time on the ball, and at this level when you dont have top quality players, they will struggle with pressing.

Isn’t it great to enjoy watching a professional and organised looking side for a change.
I don’t think we could have asked for much else from Duff so fare, Miller/ Sorensen look like top signings for this level.

I'll say this now.
I've really been impressed with how Duff has us setup. I understand we've dropped a division, but to be dominant with possession and the vast majority of the balls being played are forward, 1-2 touch passing, with movement, with an extra gear I've enjoyed. Players who for years we've had to witness going backwards as their first thought, to now you can see thinking play forward, is so much more enjoyable. Even when we do reset and recycle the ball going backwards, the ball gets played forward again.
Every goal we've scored thus far, we've had 4/5+ players in the opposition box (I can't recall when we last did that).
Both wing backs high pressing whipping balls into the box.
We've got tidy technicians on the ball, and that's with arguably our best passer of the ball in Kane on the bench, but I'd imagine he'll be a BIG BIG player for us this season.

Yeah, makes sense when they setup with 5 in the back, 2-3 in midfield and direct to the from 3 of theres. Theyre not going to pass the ball around the back, so not giving the GK any more yards needed helps. They've set up differently this second half. |
