Seen that’s he’s been let go after one match of the new season - 0-2 home defeat to Sheffield United. Shades of Mark Robins in 2014. I know it’s not our division so why care but it’s nice to see a long term rival making bonkers decisions while we are on the up. See their Chairman is Peter Ridsdale who took Leeds down twenty years ago. Probably explains a lot.

How long have Preston been our rivals? However many seasons we’ve been in the same division. Not worked it out so that’s why I said long term. Certainly since 1922. |

Their fans have been baying for his head since they fell away after their great start last season tbh but crazy to pull the trigger one game into the season. Should have done it at end of season to get new manager in place.

Not surprising. They’re on the way down as their main benefactor passed away a year or two since. He will get another shot I’m sure.

Peter Ridsdale (Boo!) was on Sky Sports saying how embarrassing it was welcoming a new signing that Lowe had wanted just as the manager left the building... |

Preston fans have been on his back for ages.
Their fans need to be careful what they wish for. They've been mid table for the last 10 years with the odd season inside the top 10. Not once have they been anywhere near to flirting with relegation.
