For a bit of fun.
Now we have played two games, i think we can safely make some predictions for the player of the season that wont come come back to bite us. (2 years ago i actually put money on Jon Russell for Championship POTS......he made about 7 apps for Town before been shipped out to Barnsley)
This year based off one performance, i predict Antony Evans will be the POTS with Lasse Sørensen running him close.
UTT

Am I right in saying Helik, Schindler, Clarke & Cowan have won the award twice in a row, (Burke has won it twice in 3 years) but nobody has won it 3x in a row?
Michal - over to you...
(although I'm going to say Evans is my far too early pick of the bunch)

Who the hell has voted for Danny Wardnock? I've gone for Lasse, but it's far too early and I've been impressed by Kane, Evans and Wiles (yeah I know) so far too.

Benji was good too. So good my sister cried at it. Even though it was in German and she didn't speak/understand a word

If Kev Phillips comes here, he will definitely be in the running, not as fast as he used to be though😉 I hope to god the player of the season is a 20 plus goal forward or a late arriving midfielder with 10 plus goals and lots of assists..😲

Cried at the end of every episode, mind you it was the 1960s original series in black and white, and I was only 5. Yep. Every. Single. Time. I can just see them pitching the idea for the show. "So, it's a kids show about this stray dog who finds people who are in trouble and he helps them out massively. Brilliant dog, and the kids will get hugely, emotionally invested in him during the episode. Then the dog buggers off, leaving the young viewers traumatised."
"Great idea! Do you think we should air it before or after Watership Down?".
I've not watched an episode for years (decades?) but I reckon even in my mid 40s I'd get a bit choked up.

So after a quarter of the season, looks like most of us were massively off the mark (myself included).
For me i think the players leading this have to be:
Kasumu - Provided the balance in midfield and has the ability to break play up and then drive past the opposition. Pearson - Don't ask him to play 50 yard passes and he is as solid a defender in L1 as you can expect. Great set piece threat. Love his passion. Marshall - Seems to be Duffs first striker at the moment, great work rate and link play. Expecting more goals to come. Miller - What a bargain on a free transfer.
Honorable mention - Wiles When the team plays well so does he but when we needed someone to turn up while we were struggling he went missing.
