That was a very tough game to watch but 3 points is 3 points. Not sure 3 at the back works with a high midfield and too many gaps for me. I guess they are still learning but hope Duff has got plan a for the better teams. Hogg does a job but shouldn’t start against weaker opposition. Ward should just play golf. DK and JK made an impact. New players look better than the old ones so don’t stop with the clear out process - one more week to improve the squad/ team. Thought the atmosphere in the ground was good but still a few getting on the players backs - not helpful. Hogg shouldn’t be starting at all, even more so against stronger opposition! He should be the type of player we bring on for last 10 minutes to see a game out. A bit like Dean Whitehead was under Wagner. I’m not sure what Hogg does other than run about a bit and shout at a few of his teammates….

A lot tougher match than many thought today, some predictions of an high scoring win were miles out, we're a third tier side and we're a third tier side for a reason, not an impressive performance but later in the season if we're up there challenging we'll look back at this narrow win and be gratefull. Not me, I predicted 1-1..

If the luck goes against us whilst we are becoming more 'cohesive' we could lose by a few. Im prepared to go with the 'win is a win' thing. Utterly dreadful game with many sunday morning pub league interludes. Duff needs another 2 or 3 ins, its blatantly obvious and thankfully he knows it. We move on...UTT..

Good three points but not a pretty watch. Duff praised us for winning ugly after the game, saying it’s never easy to play against a low block, but I don’t think that quite told the story. I thought we pushed up too high and condensed the playing area too much. It left us really vulnerable to their counter and it put the onus on our defenders to try and open them up rather than our midfielders. Evans and Wiles struggled to get on the ball because they were too high. On another day we’d have lost that. The opposite is true actually, midfield sat in front of defence...

It’s about time we took Spencer off or played him in his correct position. Woeful at the back all round. Duff surely won’t be happy with that when he likes his teams being solid. All that said we have missed 2 absolutely huge chances, Marshall and Hogg so we could and should be out of sight. Ward anonymous. If anyone thinks we will finish top 2 without a striker and a centre half they are kidding themselves. This is probably the worst team in league 1 and we are at home. I think Duff will sort it out at half time though. It's also their cup final They don't get to play in these surroundings very often Embarrassing comment. Especially as they play Birmingham Bolton and Derby Wednesday last season It's the sort of comment Bradford fans make.

well done Jonny Hogg marshalled the team gets himself right where he needs to be , actually where the action is. unlike a couple of others today who were close to hiding preferred us when Kasumu came on and gave us the extra bite in both halves would like him to start at Rotherham young Marshall has done very well, the lad ran himself silly and took his goal with aplomb he’ll do well for us this season also Matty Pearson comes on and does the job well unlucky to be kept out by an out of form Spencer atm Brodies mistakes would have been punished against better opponents reckon he’ll benefit from a couple of weeks on the sidelines while his shoulder mends not a moan though would have happily taken a battling 1-0 win at 3 o’clock

Definitely agree. No easy three points. They are better than where they are, so a 1-0 will do for me. Bang on. Tough game made harder by some shocking football from certain players and Mr Duff said on the radio he was happy with the performance. This is a very tough league no doubt about it and teams are going to set them selves up to stop us playing football because we would murder them, but when it is going to be a scrap and we have to tough it out i think we will find it really tough.

Very disappointing performance but in reality we should have won about 6-2. We missed some brilliant chances & while I suspect the bigwigs would have wanted us to put them to the sword to ease the clamour to bring a striker in, the exact opposite occurred & it just highlighted our need for an experienced striker.
Miller was the best player on the pitch & while Sorensen played well first half, he got worse as the 2nd half went on. The entire midfield 3 were poor but the defence, & Nicholls, deserve credit. 1 goal, a very controversial pen at that, in 4 games is nowt to be sniffed at.
This division is really poor so every team will have chances in a game, up to today we have looked Championship quality going forward but very much League 1 in finishing. However, surely every single person on here would have taken 4 wins from our 1st 4 games if offered before the season?

I thought once Shrewsbury finally realised leaving loads of space open for our two wing backs, we struggled to get the ball to Wiles and Evans as we couldn’t get in down the sides.
They were absolutely terrible and we could have had 4 in the end. However, the strikers didn’t offer much and I think a physical presence up top would help us to hold the ball up top.

I think next week will really show where we're at. We look vulnerable in defence and despite their bad start they've created loads of chances in their last two games

Hogg was so bad today. Slow and ponderous in possession and a walking yellow/red. Except that he got neither!

We can’t continue to miss so many decent chances. It will costs us in the long run. Gave the ball away in too many dangerous situations all afternoon. 3 points in the bag and move on As Mick Buxton said, something like, "If the strikers are getting into the right positions to score, I won't criticise them". They... will... score. Kindon fletcher and robins would love it with these two lads chucking crosses in.

Rode our luck again today. Shrewsbury failed to convert some gobbers. Our defence is putting the shits up me. Not really. Nicholls made one tremendous save from a great effort when we switched off - when Spencer inexplicably disappeared behind Miller to leave a gap. They did bits and bobs in the first half, but they resulted in half-chances. And they had the one shot second half when Nicholls saved easily. No 'gobbers' whatsoever. People really do see things strangely. A couple of half-chances against us, and we somehow rode our luck despite missing plenty of chances at the other end. What is expected? Nobody ever has a shot against us? We're going to concede some goals this season, we're going to concede shots this season. We're three games in and we've conceded one goal, a penalty. Nicholls hasn't been flying across his goal all the time. Stevenage missed a sitter, true, but that's been it in terms of really big chances conceded from open play. We've sometimes looked shaky, and our own worst enemy, but we're also a work in progress.

That was a tough watch. So many sloppy pieces of play - ten yard passes fluffed, balls rolling under feet. Lackadaisical pretty much all game. Evans had a stinker - got caught on the ball 3/4 times.
Didn’t like the way we had wiles and Evans ahead of the ball all the time - clearly obvious that we had no way of passing into through the middle of the pitch, should’ve had one of them drop deeper. To make things happen.

We needed someone who could carry the ball between the lines and Kasumu does that well. Certainly better than Hogg, and I'm not bashing Hogg!

Do you mean ‘someone said something I disagree with?’. Thought we were pretty abject again today and couldn’t have complained had we conceded. Posh could have been 2-0 up before we got going in first game, Stevenage second half was abysmal and they missed some great chances and Shrewsbury created enough today that they’ll think they should have scored at least once. On results alone of course we’re doing well. I think performances tell a slightly different story.
