This looks a good game to consolidate our good start! They look poor in the highlights.

Lost to both teams that we've beaten so far, and scraped through the cup against a League Two side on pens. This *should* be a comfortable win but it's the sort of game that we'd muck up in the past.

In the past! (Recent past) I think we will get stronger by the game. The missing players, balker Healey and bojan (injuries) will be strong reinforcements for the team we have

I’ll be there along with our six-year old grandson for his first ever Town game. Shrewsbury’s centre halves Toto Nsiala and Aaron Pierre need to be targeted. They’re both very slow and Pierre is built like a brick outhouse with the turning circle of a Brontosaurus. He was good a few years ago at Wycombe but he totally flopped with Sutton and AFCW. Just run at the pair of them, they won’t be able to cope. Marshall should start - he’ll score, no doubt in my mind.

This is the first time we've been in the same division as Shrewsbury since the promotion season under Warnock, we beat them at home that season 2-1, think Lee Duxbury scored the winner.

If I recall, the return fixture that season was when it was torrential rain for 90 minutes, and was host to the infamous 'Warnock bollocking' at half time..

4-0 win, I reckon MD will have knocked the complacency out of them after we went 2 up yesterday.

A chance, potentially to score early and really kick on.
Of course it will go to plan 🤣

If we play our game, its 4 in 4, however, without wishing to be negative, this is town, and we can be to banana skin situations what sand is to the sahara.

Don’t think we are clinical enough to “batter” teams, I’ll go 2-0

Think we will arsehole them to be honest. I'm going 5-0. Koroma 2, Helik, Sorenson, Evans

Weirdly, I think this game might just tell is more about our tram than the two previous games.
Playing bottom of the league Shrews, 6 points on the board, should be a doddle. However, we looked a bit...jittery in second half yesterday.
Can we push on with a comfortable win, or do we freeze on the day?
Could be interesting.

Thought we were pretty hopeless in the second-half yesterday and don’t get why so many people on here and in the ground yesterday are giving it the big licks. Say nowt, win it, then shout your mouth off as Mr Clough once said. I’ll take any kind of win and be grateful for it.

Looking at their matches so far this season:
Lost 1-0 to Stevenage, and Stevenage beat them quite comfortably.
Drew 3-3 with the respectable Nottingham side (won on penalties)
Lost 4-1 to Peterborough, but if the highlights are anything to go by, Posh should have won by a much bigger margin (Mothersille missed an absolute gobber, and Poku could have had a couple more with a bit more luck/composure)
Based on the highlights I can see us cutting through their defence like a hot knife through butter. And of the 4 goals they've got so far, the Notts County ones could be avoided with competent defending. The one against Posh was a cracking strike though, and if we're playing attacking football I can see us leaving a gap like that for them as well.
I'd take a 1-0 win - home or away - against anyone. And if that's what we get I'll be very happy with the result. But I honestly think that unless Shrewsbury play a lot better than they seemed to in the highlights of their games so far this season I'd expect us to absolutely batter them. They really do look a poor side.
