I hope there are 2 changes, Healey or Marshall for Ward & Kane for Hoggy. Didn't see Ward or Harratt getting off the coach thank god Unlucky |

Correct they were second division and Town third. I can't remember playing them in 81 82 I'd have to look it up. I know Town missed out on promotion that year. Remember some Shrews fans were sat by us in stand, 1st time been with my dad for a couple of years, he had free tickets, i remember saying see you next year to some!!. Has no-one posted that we had three goalkeepers that day and they conceded a goal each? |

Surprised that its Koroma who makes way for Marshall instead of Ward. They really clicked against Morcambe. A goal for Ward and goal and assist for Marshall. They just seemed to be on the same wavelength. Although Josh is unlucky after his goal last week I think we have two proper strikers starting today. What’s the chances they both get subbed after 20 minutes 😉 |

Think it was 3 round of cup as they would have come in at 3rd round as it was probably in Jan, hence why think it was 81, remember having Shrews in my panini album!!, completed it in 80,81 n 82!!. |

Not sure I understand why Hogg is in the lineup. Are we going to need to break down attacks in the middle? Would have thought Kasumu would be the better option for his mobility if we needed a defensive midfielder.
Presume Kane is injured. Would have thought this was the ideal game for him.
Koroma is a surprising absence as well.
Still think we should have enough to beat them though.

Then a defeat at The Shay on Boxing Day - we only lost 1 game after that hn( Pompey away). December wobble arrested by the signing of Kindon. Went to most of the away games that season including those two whilst serving in the Army based down south. Seem to remember us wimnning at Doncaster after losing at the shay Halifax which was also the speedway . Remember that Kindon pen at pompey and him showboating with their fans after scoring We drove home in thick fog and worst i have ever seen. Also massive fight broke out when pompey fans in our end |
