The woke brigade will be after you, its ’player of the match’ now. Only on television, thankfully. Grinds my gears that one. And Sky's insistence on the tributes to Graham Thorpe of calling him a "batter." He was a batsman, and a fine one at that.RIP. Back on topic,it certainly used to be match sponsors that selected the man of the match.

They do a poll on twitter straight after match on the official Town account then announce it within an hour or so.

The woke brigade will be after you, its ’player of the match’ now. Nope; Lasse Sorensen was the Man of the Match sponsored by Blue Portal, his award was presented by Match Sponsor Katie McDonagh 🏆

Grates me.

Americanisms looming large in the game.

Bloody Americans, coming over here and buying our football clubs…😁 Personally,I always found Dean Windass an offensive player.

I was in town today with my spiderman jumper wearing child. He was asked by a shop assistant if he was a real life "spider person" saving the world. He looked at said assistant gone out. What is it with this gender thing?!

I believe that it having to now be called 'Player of the Match' is nothing to do with woke or gender or anything like that.
I'm certain I recall a few years ago seeing that someone has trademarked/copyrighted/whatever it is the phrase/terminology/whatever it is 'Man of the Match' and so if you wanted to use that term, they had to pay to do so.
Also on the terminology of things, why the fuck do Sky Sports on their headlines/articles on their website say for example Team A beats 10 player Team B? It's bollocks. It's 10 men, not 10 players.

I sometimes quite enjoy the fact that this woke nonsense winds so many of you up…
You exacerbate it by reacting to it…
