They've had a shocking start and got dumped out of the cup by lower league opposition tonight like us. Think Evans will have them battling Saturday.

Lots of new faces and they take time to gel. However, if they carry on as they are Fatty Evans will be battling the sack.
Hard one to call is Saturday. I’d have been happy with a point but after our respective starts I’d want a win. We need to show more quality and character than tonight though, a lot more.
A new face or two to provide a spark would be most welcome and helpful.

A reaction needed. Duff's comment about losing duels is a key one: we need to win our duels all over the pitch.
I think this is a game where we find out about credentials. We've done well in the league, but can we react to a setback?

I want to see our midfield respond. Brilliant against Peterborough, terrible the last two matches.
Shocking to see the hoof ball over the top still destroying us at the back.

Town win for me as last night is hopefully some kind of blip. Only worry is what usually happens in the league when we play a team who is looking for their first win.

Excited to see how we do for a change. Last few seasons I'd go in expecting to lose and we usually would. Now we've just lost after 4 wins in a row. How will we respond? Would love to see Evans throwing a hissy fit at the final whistle again like he did against Wycombe

Wrong game at wrong time. The Town we all know and love will surely find a way to feck it up?

Team Nichols Lees Helik ?? (Turton?) Miller Kasumu Hogg Wiles Sorenson Koroma Marshall Bench Maxwell Healey Ward Iorpenda Ruffles (no one else) Evans ?? (Jones?) Headley can have the weekend off and question whether or not he wants to play with Drive,Energy and passion every game - not just when he feels like it.

We've struggled this season with balls over the top turning our CBs due to playing a high defensive line and the obvious lack of pace at the back. Due to bad finishing and good goalkeeping we've generally got away with it, Rotherham will use this tactic all game, are we just hoping their strikers have an off day like Peterborough, Stevenage and Shrewsbury?

Not sure how to call this one. Will feel more confident with a couple more additions ahead of Saturday.

Oh boy did we miss Miller last night. Could make all the difference. Sorensen went missing as well
Hoping for full throttle Saturday a la Peterborough.

P’boro were looking for their first win. (OK that doesn’t count 😉) As were Shrewsbury & Stevenage… Early days really, it’ll be a tough game, let’s hope the team can cut out the schoolboy mistakes they’ve been committing in the last 3 games. 🤞

Headley should be nowhere near the squad after last night’s embarrassing performance from him. Leadership group my arse, he couldn’t lead his way out of a wet paper bag. Inconsistent and really I’d put him in the same basket as Jackson; needs to go for his career. Miller is streets ahead of him.

Hopefully a minging 0-1 after a horrendous last minute penalty decision in our favour and we can watch that fat mess Evans' head fall off

Nichols Lees Helik Lonwijk
Kasumu Wiles Evans
Marshall Healey
Hopefully with Taylor on the bench.
Time to give Hogg a rest at the very least and I can only assume Duff brought Ward and Harratt on to highlight to Cartwright that we still need that striker

Any 11 who want to play. Who desire to play for us, for whatever personal reasons. Have 3 or 4 on the bench that really taxed the managers decision making on the starting 11. Know they want to get on and stay on. Work harder for most of the game than the opposition and back up the player on the ball and ffs when you get back pick up a fucking man, standing about in our box is not defending. The rest is down to tactics and coaching. Get the above right more than not and you have the required base. Its still sporadic and totally disappears for too long.

Not confident on Saturday, went last night and the collapse was very worrying and Rotherham were very unlucky not to win at home to Bristol rovers last home game . Our striker situation is boardering on stupidity it’s never been so clear that another striker is essential, ward to be fair and I’m not a fan crossed a super ball last night when 3 v 2 down which any striker worth his salt would of got on target at least . Harratt quite simply isn’t good enough and we need to sort this out quickly. The club talk about buying in championship ready players let’s get good league one players first, some of the performances last night were pathetic and being outplayed and battled by a league 2 side was very worrying . Hogg Headley Harratt wouldn’t of looked out of place in a Sunday league team , a hard look at yourself individually as some players need to put in a better shift than last night, left the game seriously thinking why do you put the time and effort on a Tuesday night to come and watch my team when the players perform like that. Also what a shocking performance from the referee, town really do seem to take a hammering from refs. It seems to have got worse since the John moss game.

I bet every fan in the land thinks their team gets a raw deal from referees. The standard of refereeing is poor but its the same for all teams not just Huddersfield Town. We've got to stop blaming referees for our poor inept performances and results

I’m convinced town will drop the first points of the season here. Not sure if it’ll be a draw or defeat. Hopefully I’m wrong and Evans refuses to shake another opposition manager’s hand 😂

Run up and down the pitch, tackle when you need to and learn to cross. I know a lot don't but I agree with Kasumu deputising for Sorenson at right wing back - think he's had some of his best games there in the past. I think we need someone who can pass and dictate play at CDM, not just a disruptor. No idea who though, at this level, would fit this.
